"You feel better?" I asked Luke, brushing my hands through his hair from where I straddled his lap. "You looked so exhausted."

"I haven't been sleeping much. I guess I hadn't realized." He sighed, moving his hands to rest on my waist, his thumbs brushing over my rib cage. "You cleaned?" He smirked.

"I didn't know how long you were going to be sleeping so I started cleaning and then I couldn't stop. It was actually disgusting here. How did you let it get this bad?" I mumbled, twirling his curls with my fingers. He shrugged, licking his lips when his eyes closed. He had a small grin on his face that I had never seen before but he looked beautiful. Like the world in his head was no longer frantic and crazy. It was at peace.

"I missed you." He sighed, squeezing my sides. "It feels so good to have you back. Your little body in my hands again. Just sitting with you, feeling you here. It makes everything better." He pulled me closer to him, his lips moving to press against my jaw. "I love you so much. You have no idea how much."

"I have an idea." I smirked, brushing my fingers over his jaw. "I love you a lot too."

"What do you want from this? Us, I mean?" He asked, running his hands from my waist to my wrists to my hands. He intertwined our fingers and I grinned down at him. "I mean, how do we move forward from everything?"

"Well, you love me and I love you." I shrugged, kissing the back of his hand softly. "But, we've never been on a real date and neither one of us are much for romance but it wouldn't be a bad idea."

"Are you asking me out?" He smirked, his eyebrow raising.

"I'm just saying," I sighed, smiling small at his goofy expressions. "We both may need to put in more effort than before. We can't just sleep together and pretend it's nothing." I told him and he nodded. "If you're serious about me, then we have to do this different. You need to cope with me not living here and we have to keep a little space."

"Is this your way of telling me that you're not moving back in and we're not having sex yet?" He frowned and I nodded, biting my lip. I knew he wouldn't like that but sex was a big part of the problem. We did it all the time, pretending that was all we had. "Ok," he sighed, kissing my cheek. "What else?"

"What do you want, Luke? This isn't just all about me. I need to make sure you're happy."

"I want you to flourish, baby. That's all. I want you to be who you want to be and let me be apart of it. I don't want to lose you. As long as I can hold you and shit, spend a few nights with you, I'm good."

"Ok," I nodded, kissing his cheek and then his lips. He lingered on my lips and I smiled against his. "I missed you too, by the way. I haven't told you yet but I hated being away from you."

"You were right. We needed it. No matter how much it fucking sucked."

The doorbell rang and I frowned, sliding off of Luke to let him go answer it. "I'm supposed to be getting a package." He mumbled, standing up to answer the door. I heard a few exchanged words and I curled my knees to my chest while I waited for him to come back. "Babe, guess what I got?" He said excitedly, coming in with a small brown box and a grin on his face.

"Please don't tell me you got a flesh light or something."

"Ok, don't be so vulgar and I might have to if we're not having sex." He rolled his eyes and I giggled, watching him cut open the box with one of my keys. He pulled out the paper and then the little black box. "I ordered it before you left and it's taken a while for it to come in but I still think you'll like it."

"What the hell did you buy?"

"It's for you!" He handed it to me and I furrowed my eyebrows while I pulled it open. "This guy I met last year makes them and I asked him if he could make one for you. Said it'd take awhile but it's here-"

"It's beautiful!" I grinned, lifting the gold band from the velvet box. It was engraved with Luke's name, each letter spaced an inch apart and a diamond in between. The closure was like a screw, similar to a Cartier but this was so much better. "This couldn't be cheap, babe." I sighed, shaking my head.

"Hey, don't worry about that. I wanted you to have something." He licked his lips and sat next to me, holding out his hand so he could help me put on the bracelet. I handed it to him and he opened it up with the little screw driver it came with. "I was going to give it to you the day I told you I loved you, which was the day after you left. I had this plan to take you to dinner, give us something conventional."

"We're not conventional, Luke. We wouldn't even speak to each other if I hadn't ask you to make a sex tape with me." I snickered, letting him close the bracelet around my wrist.

"Hey, still the best decision I ever made." He winked, placing his hands on my cheeks to pull me into another kiss. This one was slower and deeper, my arms wrapping around his neck before he pulled me into his lap. He slid his hands up my waist, my shirt bunching up the higher he went. "I don't know how long we can last not having sex."

"We can't but at least we pretended to try."

"I really fucking love you." He growled, pulling me closer to him. "Make me stop." He kissed my neck slowly, trailing his lips from my jaw to my collar bone.

"I don't want you to."

"Then I won't."
