"Hey you guys never get out of that office. Till stop moping, you should be glad that I'm taking you and your boyfriend out to a club. I mean, you guys didn't even change out of your work clothes." Schneider said, watching the road ahead of them as they drove.
"Schneider, the last time you made us take a day off from work to go to a club, it was a terrible club." Till sighed, looking out the window.
"Flake...are you ok back there?" Schneider asked Flake instead of replying to Till.
"I can't see a damn thing...why did you insist on making me leave my glasses behind?"
"Because your glasses aren't cool or badass. We're doing....matrix cosplay I guess. Here, have some sunglasses." Schneider said handing Flake sunglasses. Flake took them, but still looked grumpy.
"I heard there's going to be a pretty cool band there tonight. Three guys, Oliver Riedel, Richard Zven Kruspe, and Paul Landers, I've listened to their music while working, not bad." Schneider shrugged, glancing at his GPS and then back to the road.
"Paul? Landers?" Flake suddenly said in disbelief. Schneider nodded. Till looked to Flake in the back seat.
"What's up babe?"
"Paul and I go back a long time, we used to be the best of friends, but then he got married, and we sort of drifted apart..." Flake shrugged, Till nodded and faced the road again. They pulled into the parking lot and got out of the car, Flake walked around a bit and bumped into a lamppost.
"Mein Liebling, walk closely to me, I can make sure you don't bump into anything." Till said, taking Flake's arm. Flake nodded and walked next to Till, Schneider not to far behind.
"This better be a good club, you interrupted some important work Till and I were doing in the office." Schneider chuckled at this, and pointed at the club entrance ahead.
"You both like fire. Well there it is. Come on, let's go in." Till looked at the building to find that Schneider was right, there was fire, and Flake was just far enough away to see it clearly. They walked in, and were immediately greeted by crowded conditions. Flake's eyes widened when he saw Paul performing. It was like a blast from the past. Someone came by and greeted them, then proceeded to lead them to a table they could sit down at. The trio looked at the drink menu and told the waitress their orders. Flake looked around at what he could at least see without his glasses, and was disturbed by some of the dancers, and the children in the cage. He felt a little uncomfortable, but he should've expected it. Whenever Schneider invited them out to a club from their busy work schedule, it was usually a club Flake didn't want to be in. So Flake focused his attention on Paul, who even if he did notice Flake, probably wouldn't recognize him, seeing how his hairstyle had changed since then. Till seemed to notice Flake was uncomfortable, but Till always noticed things like these, he was Flake's boyfriend, and it was his job.
"You alright Flake?"
"Same way I always feel when Schneider takes us out."
"Hey! You had fun last time." Schneider insisted, looking offended, but Flake knew he hadn't offended him.
"Next time, you'll decide where we go, ok?" Till smiled, holding his shoulder. Flake nodded at this.
"Woo! That Oliver Riedel is smoking hot!" Schneider exclaimed, changing the subject. Till and Flake looked up at the guy on stage and shook their heads.
"What? You guys are gay, let me fawn over men too!" Till and Flake exchanged glances, despite the fact that Flake could only see the blur of Till's shape, and sighed.
"When we get back to the office, I'm going to block Schneider's number from the landline phone on my desk." Flake sighed, causing Till to laugh. Schneider didn't seem to hear them, God knows if he had, he would freak out.
"Come on now Flake, he's a good friend."
"Ja, just a little pushy at times." Flake said, smiling. He patted the table for his drink, and found a glass, which he brought to his lips. Till stopped him.
"Flake, that's mine. Here, this one's yours." Till said, handing him one glass, and taking the other one from Flake.
"Danke Till."
"Ich liebe dich, Flake."
"Ich liebe dich auch, Till." Flake responded, earning him a kiss on the cheek from Till. The crowd quieted down a bit, Till looked up at the stage, there was some movement behind the curtains. Perhaps they were getting ready for an act. Till didn't really care if he was going to be honest, he liked clubs with more fire. He did see some flamethrowers stage right, and that interested him. Hopefully that acts would involve those. Instead of watching for the acts, he wrapped his arm around Flake's shoulders. His poor boy was having trouble seeing, if he couldn't see the acts, Till wouldn't either.
"Is something happening Till? I can't see the stage, not very well." Till nuzzled into Flake's neck, causing the other to shiver a bit at Till's warm breath.
"I think so. But if you can't see the stage, why should I be able to? I'll entertain you instead." Till said into Flake's ear. His boyfriend blushed at this.
"Till, enjoy yourself. Just because I'm not, doesn't mean you shouldn't." Flake sighed, almost cursing his bad vision, but then realizing that it was really a part of him, and life without it would be weird.
"I refuse to." Till smiled, kissing Flake's cheek again.
"Hmph. You flirt."
"You nerd."
"You sweetheart."
"You kind-hearted cornflake." Till said, this time they kissed on the lips. Schneider watched the pair amused, they fit into the club crowd now, a lot of people were making out, especially in the LGBTQ+ community. He had his eyes on the fine man playing music, Oliver Riedel. Who had noticed his gaze a couple of times, and waved with a smile. Finally with a pop, the attention focused on the stage and smoke was rising off a hooded figure. Till saw a flyer on the ground and managed to read something about a magician stripper. He had never heard anything like that before, but agreed to not pay close attention to the act for Flake, whose eyes weren't focused very well right now. The woman took off her cape and hood to reveal lingerie underneath, and a snake wrapped tightly around her. (Author's Note: I'm obsessed with reptiles, and I want to go into it as a career so naturally I add in a little something about that) The Burmese python was huge snake though, usually it's hard for just one person to hold it up, but Schneider could see why she could. He had a friend who worked in herpetology, with the reptiles and amphibians. Juveniles weren't as heavy, and you didn't feed them as much. She walked around stage flaunting the reptile, fire rose from the stage, catching Till's attention, but he quickly looked away and kissed Flake's cheek, causing the other man to smile.
"So many kisses Till, what can you see happening?"
"Some kind of magician stripper girl with a snake, there's some fire too. I'm not paying attention though." Till shrugged, patting Flake's back. Flake rolled his eyes, knowing that Till wasn't paying attention because of him.
"Watch, it could be interesting. You can just tell me when it's over what it was about." Flake said, eyes focused in the distance. Till wasn't paying attention, so naturally they didn't notice when the woman came over to them and reached down for Flake's tie. Poor farsighted Flake had no idea what was going on, and his eyes widened in fear, looking around, but everything was so close to him, it was a blur.
"Till?" He called, desperately wishing he would've snuck his glasses with him anyway, but Schneider, being the good-hearted bully he was, had put Flake's glasses on his desk and dragged him along preventing him from being able to grab them. Till watched the woman angrily, just what was she doing with his boyfriend? His boyfriend...who had no idea what was going on because he couldn't see. Schneider watched the events in front of him unfold like watching an interesting show on TV. He couldn't help but laugh when he saw Till's expression. Such a possessive boyfriend. The woman hissed at Flake up close, and poor Flake had no idea, he just let things happen, his eyes widened in fear. Sooner or later he was put down, and he felt relief, he jaw dropped down in a sigh. But before he could close his mouth again, something blurry entered his mouth, texture like skin. Was...was someone's foot in his mouth? Gross.....unless it's Till's foot, and it's been well cleaned, he would never do anything like this. Till almost felt like attacking the women, he was angry, but he would probably get in trouble for doing so. His expression softened when he saw how afraid Flake looked. The woman took a glass of whisky and started to poor some of it down her leg and into Flake's mouth (though some dripped on the table) and it burned his throat. A tear ran down the man's face, he had no idea what was going on. Till got enraged again when he saw that, he got up and went over to the stage, Schneider followed, concerned his friend would do something crazy.
"Till! Till! What're you doing?"
"No one treats my Flake like that, and in front of me." Till said, picking up one of the flamethrowers. Schneider's eyes widened.
"You're insane man! Till think about this-" But Till was enraged. He pushed the trigger to see how well it worked, and it caught the attention of the woman on stage. She looked over and laughed, finally taking her foot out of poor Flake's mouth.
"Angry about me stealing your man?" She asked, another bout of laughter. That just pissed Till off more. The snake slithering behind her was going backstage. Till hammered down on the trigger of the flamethrower, and the woman fell down, playing dead, she wasn't harmed in anyway. Smoke enveloped her again, Till approached her angry, but saw some kind of electric charge move through her body...now...Flake's body? The band seemed entertained by Till running on stage, Schneider behind him looking dazed. The crowd was entertained. Flake lay on the ground in an...interesting outfit. What the hell was it? He stood up and looked at Till, bags under his eyes in the same way of the caged children, blue eyes bright with confusion. He didn't even notice the firework attached to his sleeve, which blasted off close to Till. Seeing the crowds amusement, Till continued to play with the flamethrower, and hesitantly, Schneider picked up the other one. Apparently Flake had a lot of fireworks attached to him, because they just kept going off. They played with fire until the flamethrowers ran out of gas, and Flake out of fireworks, and snuck offstage to avoid any people coming to them. Flake hugged Till, shaking.
"W-what just happened, Till?" Flake asked, eyes bright, blue, and terrified.
"The lady grabbed you, and put her foot in your mouth, then proceeded to pour whiskey down her leg. I ran on stage and attacked her with a flamethrower, then suddenly you were on stage. I guess we decided to have fun with fire after that..." Till said, trying to speak as calmly as possible, though the idea of what had just happened still angered him.
"She was a magician of sorts, right?" Flake asked, still shaking like a dog in freezing rain.
"Ja...it's over now though, we're not coming back here." Till said with a glare to Schneider who just smiled innocently.
"What? You can't say that playing with fire wasn't fun."
"Look at the state of Flake! He's scared out of his mind, and someone touched something that didn't belong to them, but belongs to me." Till responded, voice calming. Flake nuzzled up against Till tightly, he didn't want anyone else to touch him that night. After the band stopped playing people started leaving. Schneider however, was holding them up, talking to Oliver Riedel from the band. The rest of the band came out, and Flake looked up curiously and saw Paul. He let go of Till and ran over to Paul to give him a hug.
"Paul!" He exclaimed, embracing his long lost friend.
"Hey look! I get nice hugs from fans now." Paul chuckled, happy at getting a hug. Flake was right, he didn't recognize him. Till stood up and approached slowly.
"I'm not a fan...well, I do like your music, but surely you know me. Flake Lorenz." Paul's eyes widened and his jaws dropped.
"Flake? Aw man, it's been forever. How have you been? And how did your vision suddenly get better?"
"I've been well, and it hasn't. My friend there prevented me from bringing my glasses tonight." Till had arrived now, and was watching the two fondly. Schneider gave them a mischievous wave, and Paul chuckled.
"You couldn't see what was happening with the magician, and that's why you looked so scared." Paul concluded, smiling.
"Ja. My friends like fire though, and my boyfriend Till was trying to uh...exact revenge." This caused Paul to laugh.
"It's nice to meet you Till. This is my husband Richard, and my friend Oliver. You're quite impressive with fire."
"Ja, I have an affinity for it." Till shrugged, smiling. Ollie smiled.
"We should buy them drinks. It's the least we can do for allowing that women to scare the blind guy." Richard chuckled before taking a drag of his cigarette.
"I'm not blind, I'm just severely farsighted..."
"A drink would be nice..." Till nodded. They walked out together into the night, ready to drink with each other.
