My eyes skim through the mass of drunk college students to find my two best friends playing a drinking game. A couple of months ago, I was never allowed to go to parties and it suddenly feels strange that I have all this freedom. No more sneaking around, and getting PTSD every time I explain myself to my parents.

"Sofia! It's been like forever!" Aubrey wails. It's pretty obvious she's had too many drinks.

"I saw both of you like yesterday!" I bluntly state, then we all start laughing. Tonight's the final night before we start college. And to be honest, I'm pretty nervous. Ever since graduation, ever since Magnus showed up, I've been stressing out if he's going to be attending the same college.

Before I can talk to my two best friends, I receive a call from Keeley.

"Hey! Turn around, I can see you!" Keeley whispers.

I turn around and skim the crowd. I see Keeley, his brown messy hair is trimmed and a smirk appears on his face. He makes his way over to me, and before we can say anything, my stupid best friends have to embarrass me.

"Oooh! Sofia. Get in there." They start calling out, causing a ton of students to face us, causing Keeley to laugh and my cheeks to tint a shared of red. Keeley and I are both majoring in the same course at college, and we realised that we have a lot of mutual interests. We started to meet up more often after the formal.

"Are you ready for tomorrow?" Keeley asked, while he lifted my chin.

"Um, sort of." I muttered.

"Hey, if this is about Magnus, don't worry, remember, I'm going to be by your side tomorrow." I gave his arm a light squeeze and smiled. We walked onto the abandoned porch of the house and gazed at the stars. The soft hum of the music and the cool breeze made the night perfect.

My alarm blared at 6am, I quickly put on my gym clothes and started to run around the block. I was admiring the view of the suns rays, until I ran into something. Why do people put there bins halfway across the roads! Like seriously, I quickly stood on my feet and stepped away from the accident zone, hoping that someone didn't see me or worse record it, that would ruin me. My ankle had a swelling bruise, so I quickly limped back to my apartment and into the cold shower.

After dressing my wound, I gathered my equipment and bolted for the campus. I don't want to leave a bad impression. As I approached the campus, I quickly remembered the classroom I was going to be in for the morning. Seeing thousands of students crowd inside the massive structure, attending their classes made me feel overwhelmed that this was my new life!

The circular auditorium/classroom was quite a sight for a high school graduate, no more boring desks. I took a seat in the middle next to a shy looking girl. I looked around for Keeley, only to not be seen anywhere. Sooner or later, students began filling the seats, all excited and nervous. I started to tap my pencil against the slim slab of wood.

"Hey, I'm glad I'm not late!" Huffed Keeley, his hair was neatly combed and his chest was moving up and down quite rapidly.

"Get yourself together," I hush whispered, as our professor entered the room. He was a stern looking middle aged man.

"Alright class, these handouts will be your lifeline this semester. Everything is on those sheets, times, dates and information about upcoming exams and assignments." A silent groan was made by everyone, first day of college and it seems like we never got out of high school!

The professor started writing notes on the whiteboard which was accompanied by a presentation. After what felt like an hour of writing notes, we were dismissed.

"Don't forget to look at who you are paired with for your project, remember it's worth a fair amount so I would get started!"

I walked to the crowded desk where our names were printed with another's.

"Stephan Collins," Keeley stated, he was late to another class so I just waved him goodbye. I waited until the swarm died down. I skimmed through the list until I landed on mine.

"Ross, Sofia" I read out as I followed the lines to reveal the name of my partner. My eyes landed on the name. As soon as I saw his face at the doorway, I hushed,

"It's you,"
