One More Time

Chapter 2 - Accidentally on Purpose

When I see Magnus staring at me, I immediately gaze at the floor and exit the building as fast as my scrawny feet dragged me for. I thought I got over him? No, my heart is beating fast, and my face is burning up. This is what happens to you when you crush on a guy for about a month or so, then he breaks your heart.

"Sofia! Wait up, please stop fast walking!" Magnus coos across the entrance of the university. Luckily the bus was there as soon as I made it to the stand, I ran onto the bus and hid myself among the dozens on the bus. As I peek through two muscular boys, I see Magnus get on, look around then shake his head. Yes! I won this round!

As I regain my breath I open the doors to my apartment. Expecting to see Aubrey or Dylan crashing on my coach instead I see Ronnie, my puppy bark and run towards my feet. I pick her up with my hands and cuddle her. In a second my phone starts ringing and it's Aubrey.

"Hey what's up," I murmur as I stuff a cookie into my hungry body.

"How rude, Sofia! Close your mouth girl! I thought I taught you better." Aubrey jokes, then I hear a crash in the background.

"Woah! You good?"

"Yeah, I just dropped books, jeez they're heavy as!" We continue talking for what felt like hours, catching up and talking about our universities, Aubrey attends the prestigious art college, whereas I attend the prestigious college. Dylan is somewhere in between.

"Before you go Sofia, Dyl and I were planning to meet at the football game on Friday night, wanna join?" I internally groan. Aubrey being the best friend she is, pleads with all her might on the other line, listing all the things she has against me.

"Okay! I'll go, just text me the details, one game should be fine. Right?"

With all the work I've had to do and hand in over the past week, has made my head hurt. It's 5:00pm on a Friday night, Dylan and Aubrey are on their way to pick me up. I told Keeley that I was watching his game today, and he was smiling like crazy.

"I finally get to show you how good I'm at football, and you can see all the girls that go crazy for these bad boys." I roll my eyes so far back into my head that I can see my brain as he kisses his toned biceps. I playfully nudge him as I walk back to the station.

"Bye Sof,"

"Bye Keeley."

Aubrey is reapplying foundation on her face for about the sixth time as we sit in the uncomfortable seats in the stadium and watch the football game. Dylan comes over with two large drinks and sits himself in between Aubrey and I.

"Aw, Dylan! You're so sweet!" Aubrey says as she reaches for a drink.

"Honey," Dylan snaps

"These are for me, you know I don't like sharing," he winks and playfully jokes. Aubrey and I just roll our eyes and snatch the drinks from Dylan. What a great friend. Note the sarcasm.

"Hey, what's that?" Dylan says pointing to the bag I brought.

"Oh, these are Keeley's belongings, he just left it at my apartment, I'm just returning it." Dylan and Aubrey snap their necks and wiggle their eyebrows. I just laugh and nudge both of them.

"No, not like that!"

"Then what Sofia? You clearly like the guy, and I can even tell he loves you!" My heart does a flip, yet my gut just cringes. Keeley loves me? Before I can get back to them, Keeley sends me a text to meet him at the locker room to drop off his belongings. I quickly get up to avoid questions from Dylan and Aubrey and hastily navigate my way to the boys locker room. I open a door and come face to face with a guilty looking Magnus, instantly he locks the door and shows me Keeley's phone.

"Sofia, it was the only way to talk to you, I saw Keeley's phone and you were texting him, so....."

"You accidentally did this on purpose to talk to me?"

"Pretty much,"

"You have 2 minutes...I'm starting now by the way."

"Oh right!"
