Mikey practically skipped out the door. Ray reached over the seat and opened Mikey's door for him. "Good morning, cutie," Ray said as he leaned over and kissed his boyfriend.

"Good morning!" Mikey chirped. He grinned. Ray shifted gears and started driving. "I would hold your hand, but this truck is stick and I have a coffee."

Ray rolled his eyes. "You know, you're really mean sometimes. You're lucky I put up with you."

Mikey's eyes grew wide. "Don't leave me!"

Ray laughed. "I won't, I won't. You're my baby." Mikey smiled and leaned over so he could kiss Ray's cheek.

When they got to school, Mikey walked Ray to his locker before separating and going over to his own. He squatted onto his knees and began turning his combination lock. Just before he opened his locker, a pair of legs appeared next to him. Mikey looked up to find his boyfriend looking down on him, smirking.

"What?" Mikey asked. He bit his lip, trying not to smile. Ray held up the folded paper.

"How'd you get this in my locker without me noticing?" Ray asked.

Mikey giggled. "You don't pay attention to me half the time!" he cried. Laughing, he pulled open his locker. He wasn't expecting his own folded piece of paper to flutter to the ground. He picked it up and unfolded it, finding a cheesy poem inside. It was signed with a simple heart.

"Aw, Ray!" Mikey popped up to hug him. "You're so cheesy!"

Ray pulled away. "Baby, we've been together all morning," he said. "I couldn't have put this in your locker."

Mikey thought about it. "I guess you're right," he said slowly. "But... Who else would do it?"

Ray threw an arm around Mikey. "I guess I'm going to have to show everyone you're mine and mine only, huh?"

Mikey smiled and nodded. He leaned in for a kiss. He had never felt so lucky.

Mikey sat down at his usual lunch table. It wasn't long before someone sat down beside him. He smiled and turned, poking out his lips expectantly.

He wasn't expecting to find his best friend sitting there instead of Ray.

"Oh, hey Petey," Mikey said. "I didn't think you had this lunch."

"I-I don-" Pete was interrupted by the door opening. Ray walked over and sat down across from Mikey, taking his hand.

"Hey, Pete," Ray said. Mikey couldn't help but notice that Pete's eyes lingered on the their interlocked fingers before drifting up to greet Ray with a nod.

"Pete," Mikey said, "You were saying something?"

Pete hesitated. "Nah, not really. I-I was just supposed to be in the bathroom and I wanted to come say hi. You guys are, uh, particularly affectionate today."

"Oh, yeah." Mikey looked over at Ray happily. "Say hello to the new couple!"

Pete smiled awkwardly. "Oh, congrats."

Mikey looked confused. "Are you okay? You seem upset about something."

"Yeah, yeah... Just some family shit. Y'know? Anyway, I should probably get back to class. See ya 'round, Mikes."

Pete walked into the school building, leaving Mikey more confused than before.

"Was it just me or was he acting really weird?" Ray asked.

Mikey shook his head. "No, it wasn't just you. He was acting like a total lunatic."

"Did you two get into a fight or something?"
