We landed on a small distant island. On which I assumed was the base of the Brotherhood. I unbuckled myself as everyone climbed out of the helicopter, Toad once again dragging Rogue over his shoulder. I stepped out of the helicopter and followed the rest inside. I looked around eyes wide. Wow, this place was huge. Not much color but hey, definitely better than the places I used to stay. There was just something about this place that made it just better.
Suddenly everybody took a different way. I didn't know what to do so I just followed Magneto into what looked like some sort of office. He took of his helmet and placed it upon his desk. "So, what now?" I asked curiously.
"Now we will stick with the plan for tomorrow." Magneto said as he took place in the chair behind his desk, I stood in front of his desk looking back at him with a confused look on my face. The plan? What plan?
"Ok, then what's the plan?" I asked. "We have created a machine that can manipulate the DNA of humans, by which turning them into mutants like us. Our course will be theirs. Tomorrow the world's most powerful will be like us. We will activate the machine at Liberty Island with the help of the girl." He explained. So it changes DNA, that's pretty clever I have to admit. "But if it changes the DNA, what effect will it have on mutants?" I asked him.
Magneto smirked. "Well none of course. We wouldn't want to put our kind at danger now dear." He said. I nodded.
"Anyways.. I wanted to thank you, for taking me in. Before today I already gave up the hope of finding anyone like me. And now everything has changed, I'm not the only one anymore." I said sincerely. I really appreciated it, I couldn't stand even the thought of being alone, among all those humans. It would tear me apart. Magneto smiled briefly. "And you will never have to be alone again. The humans have brought enough misery to you, to all of us. And it is about time we'll change that fact." He spoke. I smiled at him.
"Allright so when are we going to get all this started?" I asked him. Cause in case I had some time, then I wanted to look around a bit maybe talk with some of the others. "Tomorrow night, make sure your ready by then." Magneto told me. I nodded and turned to walk out of the room.
I was walking outside, deciding that some little resting would do well to me after this whole day. So much has changed in so little time.. It was a good change though. I looked at the ocean absorbing the beautiful sight. My daydreaming was disturbed when I heard a voice behind me.
"You're the new one right?" A female voice called to me from behind my back. I turned to see the blue woman from earlier. I nodded. "That would be me yeah. I'm Alexia, but call me Blaze." I said. She kept a serious face. "Why Blaze?" she asked. I felt my hands light up and my eyes change into their neon blue form once again. I showed my hands, which were burning, with my blue fire. I looked up at her to see an amused look upon her face.
"Impressive." She said. "I'm Mystique." She introduced herself. I smirked. "Why Mystique?" I asked her the same question. She laughed at me. I then saw the woman before me changing into someone entirely else. I watched in amazement as she slowly began to adapt her body.
I blinked a few times with my eyes. There before me stood.. well.. me or myself or whatever. Wow that was absolutely amazing. Her mutation was just wow. She laughed at seeing my shocked expression. Which sounded exactly like my voice. Hell it was my voice. "That's why." She answered now. She slowly turned back to her own blue form.
I laughed. "My god.. Your mutation is amazing! Seriously." I managed to say. Mystique smirked. "I know. "
I turned back to look at the ocean. My thoughts drifting back to Rogue and Logan, I felt bad for stabbing them in the back.. I mean they offered me a place to stay and were nice to me, maybe I was turning into some cold hearted wreck.. I shook my head at the thought. No I would never let that happen.
I noticed Mystique had moved to stand at my side. "I feel like a backstabbing bitch." I mumbled under my breath, but it was loud enough for mystique to hear.
"You shouldn't. You made the right choice, maybe it doesn't seem that way now. But trust me once we've accomplished our goal, they will be the ones to feel sorry for not standing with us. We are doing this for the sake of our kind, it's the only way to survive." Mystique finished.
Wow. Maybe she does have a point, maybe I shouldn't think so low of myself.
I turned to Mystique and gave her a smile. "You're right. We are doing the right thing. I'm not the blind one, they are." I agreed with her. "Thanks Mystique I needed it." I thanked her. She smirked. "Oh I know you did."
I laughed at her response as I turned around to make my way back to the base.
This is going to be my time to do something right, and I will make sure to do a good job at that. I smirked to myself at the thought.
