“Did you see what he did earlier? First time seeing each other for about 2 years and he has the nerve to come up to ‘hug’ me just so Simon would see we’re all good buddies but then pulls my hair behind my back! I can’t believe we’re spending 8 months with that monster and his posse. I hate him so much!” I shrieked, my arms crossed in front of my chest, and I stop in the middle of the room to look at the girls sitting on the couch, their attention divided between me and the television screen.

“It was a good thing Simon didn’t see you stomp on his foot.” Leigh comments.

“Please, it was a good thing Simon didn’t notice them kicking each other under the table and having a staring contest while we were having a meeting and signing the contracts. Pez here almost hit me with her shoe, and Zayn was cussing under his breath.” Jade laughs and I sit back down with them and threw a nut at her from the bowl.

“You know, don’t kill me or anything Pez, but you and Zayn would look hot together. If only the both of you didn’t hate each other so much.” Jesy smiles mischievously.

“Right?! Remember at bootcamp when Zayn—” Jade starts and I block my ears out, “Girls, you’re all missing my point here please don’t bring back the past.”

“We have no choice, really. We’re touring with them by the end of the month so you might as well suck it up. You know, you didn’t use to hate him that much, Pez.” Leigh reaches out to hold my hand and they all nod.

I sigh loudly, “Fine, I didn’t use to hate him before but you know what he did. I can’t just forget that, he hasn’t even apologized. What did he do? He made fun of me and humiliated me right after what he did to me. He’s unbelievable!”

“You’re right, but the best you can do is to avoid him while on tour. Save yourself from trouble.” Jesy shrugs and turns her attention back on TV.

“No, I really want to get even with him.” I say, determined.

“Pez! Don’t do it, I swear, we will get in big trouble and you’ll just end up regretting what you did even more when it happens.” Leigh warned and I rest my head on her shoulder while grabbing a cookie from the bowl in her hand, “But he deserves it.”

“Yes, but we’re not stooping down on his level, okay? This is Zayn Malik we’re talking about, Pez. You said so yourself that he’s not the face everyone likes behind the camera.” She points out and I groan.

“Fine, I won’t, but if he pulls anything on me I’m doing it.” I say and they all shake their heads.

I turn my attention back on the television and tried not to think that rehearsals are getting near.

Once we were all packed and ready, our team escorts us out of the hotel and into the van to head to rehearsals for the whole week, and then the tour on the next. It was pretty crazy how we’ve been idle for so long after the hype of winning X-Factor as the first girl band to ever achieve that has been lifted off the people of UK. We were all busy and famous for the first few months but the excitement gradually decreased as the time went by. Now, we’re headed on tour with the biggest boy band in the world presently, and I’m pretty sure we’re going to be thrown in the dark black hole of fame, where most of us get sucked away.

All my worries were erased as I sang along to the radio with the girls in the van. I missed home, my mum, and the freshly baked cookies. It was hard to believe that I auditioned for X-Factor because my mother promised me an iPhone if I did, and I ended up where I am now. The only bad thing about being me is that I have to spend the next 8 months with the most obnoxious human being on earth.
