apologizing

Tessa POV:
I walked downstairs as quite as a mouse. When I got downstairs I saw nothing special or different. The back door was slightly opened like someone might have forgot to close it. I walked out and I thought I'd see something romantic like in the movies. But no, just Anthony sitting on a chair with his elbows resting on his knees and his hands over his face. But this is Anthony, Anthony wouldn't go and make something special if he just needed someone to talk too.

Tessa: Tony?

Anthony: Oh. Your here. I didn't hear you.

He smiled. I missed seeing that big grand smile of his.

Anthony: Come sit.

I walked over to him and sat right by him. I looked around.

Anthony: Don't worry I'm not pranking you.

We both laughed.

Tessa: So why did you want me come out here?

Anthony: I'm sorry, Tessa. I really am. I know I made you mad. I know it was me. I don't want you to be mad at me, you mean the world to me.

Tessa: It's ok. Why were you guys looking at me today?

Their was a silence. He seemed to have trouble getting the words out of his mouth. I stared at him, he was just looking down at the ground.

Anthony: I like you, a lot. We were staring at you because I told Chance how I feel about you. Then Jake came over and Chance told him that I liked you. Then Jake looked at your body and started telling us how good you look.

Tessa: Tony. Why did you do what Jake did?

Anthony: Cause you look good.

Tessa: Thanks but I don't like that. You made me feel really self conscious.

Anthony: I'm really sorry.

We sat in silence. Everything was hitting me. How did I not realize all of this? Anthony is so sweet but Jake will change him to look at girls differently.

Tessa: Their is something you should know.

That caught Anthony's attention. He looked at me. His eyes were telling me to talk and that he does care. I wanted to cry right there, I know I messed up. Why didn't I just tell Anthony what was bugging me earlier?

Anthony: what? You can tell me anything....
