I shot up expecting the boot but it was just me, Rose, and Qulil. But we were alone...no humans?
"H-hey?" I barely squeezed out.
"Valen shut up." Rose ordered.
And that was enough. I looked over at the door to see it open and then I saw Qulil and Rose bolt over too it and they ran right past the first human and knocked down the second one.
They planned this? Or maybe the humans didn't expect this?
But at the time I didn't care. I ran towards the door and I saw the human bending down to grab me so shot over to the other side of him.
He clearly didn't expect that because it worked I shot right past him jumped over the second one like a breeze. And then...Freedom?
I ran side by side with Rose who ran side by side with Qulil. We must've ran for hours because the humans never caught up to us. The only thing that stopped us was our hunger.
