You've probably heard this saying many times before, and never thought twice about it.
You never truly know how much someone means to you until they are almost taken away.
I wish I could explain why I'm writing this, and in theory I could, but I've written about it too much already. Just know that that saying, no matter how cliché or awful it may sound, is absolutely true. You only realize how deeply you care for someone when you're about to lose them. So anyone who's reading this, please take time to show your appreciation and love to your friends, family, significant others (whomever they may be), even pets. Because you never know when the last time you see them will be.
