I have had enough
depression and anxiety
I have had enough
I grab my bible
binding and casting
casting and binding
the flier said they are demons
the world is ending
they want to drag me down
no.
I run to a therapist
''dem wan finish me''
but the white man does not understand
my Nigerian Pidgin
''wetin i go do now?''
I tell my family
they say i'm overthinking
and need someone to talk to
Y'all don't understand
that's why i take a stand
on achieving my dreams
because only my dreams act as the perfect release
these emotions are off the leash
like a new release
from a popular person
this is a popular illness
I'm seeing content that fires up my dopamine
just to escape the prison that lies within
i'm breaking cuffs
but having bars before me
i'll find a way out
and take others along with me.
