Crossed Paths - A Cartoon Crossover Series

Adventure Time! with Star and Marco

         Finn and Jake mashed the buttons on their controllers. And inevitably, BMO played the tune of victory as they beat one of the bosses in the game. "Good job guys!" BMO complimented.

         "Aw yeah!" Jake said, and Finn and Jake high-fived.

        "Man, I could do this all-" But Jake shushed Finn before he could finish. 

        "Don't say that dude. Every single time somebody says something like that, it gets ruined." Jake said.

        "Nah, that's just superstition, man. Go ahead, say it. Say, 'I sure hope nothing interrupts our game day'." Finn said.

        "No way man, that's even worse." Jake said.

       "Come on, I dare you. Nothing will happen." Finn dared.

      "It totally will." Jake said. "But I'll do it anyway, because it's a dare." Jake cleared his throat.   "I sure hope nothing interrupts our game today." Jake said. Suddenly, a portal opened in their house, and one girl wearing a greenish dress hopped through, followed by a boy in a red hoodie, who flopped onto his face. 

      "Oh come on!" Jake said. "Man, I thought it wouldn't work 'cause I called it."

      "Yes! Some action!" Finn said, excitedly.

      Jake narrowed his eyes. "You knew it'd work." He accused. Finn chuckled a bit.

      "I don't know what you're talking about." Finn said, and stood up. Jake's eyes still glared accusingly. 

      "What a fine mess we're in now, a talking dog and a cat boy." The red-hoodied boy said.

      The girl gasped. "I love cat-people and talking dogs!" She commented, running towards them for a hug. 

      "Woah!" Jake said, stretching his hand to a size that would block her way, separating them from the two newcomers. "Finn's not a cat person, that's just his hat. Who are you guys, anyway?" Jake asked.

      "And... Are you human?" Finn asked, amazed to see people who looked human who weren't his parents. 

     "Yes, and WOAH the dog can grow!" The red-hoodied boy said, getting up and dusting himself off whilst looking at the dog in awe.

    "I'm not human!" Said the girl. "I'm a Maaagical Princess from another dimension! Star Butterfly, nice to meet you!" Star said, grabbing Jake's monstrously enlarged hand and shaking it, not even bothering to put her wand down. 

     Jake raised his eyebrow unsurely, and shrunk his hand to normal size. "Well who's the other guy?"

     "Oh, that's just Marco." Star said, chuckling a bit as she did. Marco gave her a sideways glance, but it was short-lived. 

     "You guys sound pretty shady. Meh, I'm used to shady. It's good enough for me. I'm Jake, a magical dog from this dimension actually." Jake said. "And this is Finn the Human, the last human in Ooo! Well, I mean, close enough." Jake shrugged. Finn waved awkwardly.

      "Fin? Like on a fish!? Cuuute!" Star Butterfly said, excitedly.

     "Heh, yeah. Hey, uh, what's that wand thing?" Asked Finn. 

     "That 'wand-thing' is a wand, Fish the Human!" She said. To demonstrate, she pointed at the ground and said, "Watch!" And a Spider with a Top Hat appeared on the ground. It bowed and removed it's hat in greeting, before putting it back on. 

      "Woah." Jake said. "She's totally a witch, dude." He said to Finn.

      "Says the dog who's hand can inflate like fifty times it's size!" Marco said. 

      "I'm a Princess, not a witch!" Star said. 

      "Just being a Princess doesn't mean you have magic. Trust us, we know, like, a ton of Princesses." Jake said.

       "Yeah, well I'm an actual Princes- wait, you know Princesses too?" She asked.

      "Hey, she's from a different dimension, she probably isn't a witch. And yeah, like, lots of them." Finn said.

     "Hmph." Said Jake, crossing his arms. "I'm keeping an eye on her." He said, narrowing his eyes at her. 

      "Sheesh. Moody." Commented Star. 

       "Ugh, it doesn't matter. Let's just go home." Marco said. 

       "Marcooo! That's rude! These guys seem pretty cool!" Star said.

        Marco hesitated, but sighed. "Whatever, but let's be sure not to miss dinner." Marco said. Star smiled and turned back around.

        "So, do you beat up evil witches and bad guys with your magic wand?" Finn asked.

        "Oh yeah, like aaall the time! Maybe not so much witches, but, I mean, general bad guys, yeah. Marco here comes too. He's an awesome fighter!" She said, and leaned over to Finn to whisper in his ear. "He's a red belt." She said, backing up and nodding. 

         "That's Math! Me and my pal Jake go out and fight witches and Ice Kings and Liches for fun all the time!" Finn said. 

        "Yeah, dude, we totally kick buns. Ice King tries to kidnap Princesses sometimes, so we gotta keep an eye on him a lot, heh." Jake said.

        "Kidnap Princesses!?!?" Star asked, after a monumental gasp. 

        "Yeah, I know, right? It's total uncool beans." Finn said.

        "What a creep! Where is he?" Star asked, ready to narwhal blast some blue old men out of existence.

         "Why?" Jake asked.

         "Obviously, I'm gonna beat his weird old pervy butt!" Star said. Marco shrugged and stood next to her, signaling he'd go with.

        "But he didn't capture any Princesses today. Why would you beat him up before he does it?" Finn asked.

      Star looked confused. "You already know he's gonna kidnap a Princess! Why don't you throw him into another dimension before he does it!?" She asked.

      " 'Stopping crimes before they're committed' isn't what we stand for, Princess. We protect the Land of Ooo from baddies, not make the citizens of Ooo fear us. Besides, he isn't that bad of a guy if you get to know him. Well, he is, but, like, still." Finn said.

      Star was about to rebut, but Marco put a hand on her arm. "Hey, it's their, like, universe, Star. Let them do their thing." Marco said. Star reluctantly stopped the argument, but still wasn't satisfied. 

       Suddenly, there was a scream from outside. "Help! Heroes Finn and Jake, and I guess other vague heroes that we don't know about that could coincidentally maybe be near them right now, I'm in trouble! I'm being attacked by a demon!" Said a voice from outside the treehouse. 

       Finn, Jake, Marco, and Star exchanged glances. They all smirked. Before Star could say "Book of Spells" or  Finn could say "Enchiridion", Finn burst out of the house riding Jake and wielding his sword, and Star, riding Cloudy with Marco barely hanging on, flew with them. No Forces of Evil were going to prevail this day in the Land of Ooo.
