Hello,

Hope you're all enjoying summer 2017!

I guess it's time for me to reveal who the winner of our competition is! As always, it was difficult choosing as all the stories were of such high quality. They were entertaining reads and it was fun hearing about the various wizarding and fairy-tale elections going on. (Nobody went for the disastrous holiday option.)

A massive congratulations! :) That's 150 House Points for Ravenclaw!

What is it about?

Well, quite simply, it is a short story that goes on about the run up to the election in the fairy-tale world. Standing we have Elsa of the Orthodox party, Eugene of the Endeavour party and Pitch Black of the Wise Fear party. (Interesting that Orthodox is a synonym of "Conservative" and Endeavour is a synonym of "Labour," was that intended? :) )

What makes it particularly enjoyable is, as @QuillsOnParchment puts it, " I like how you've managed to blend current politics and issues into the story, it's really interesting."

If you have the time, please do check it out! You'll be able to find it easily enough on @IHeartBooks01's profile.

Next competition:

Oooh, final competition! But what will it be about?

Hmm...

I will give several competitions. You can enter one, two or all three - it is up to you and how much time you have! I won't have a winner per option, but one overall winner.

Option 1:

The Internet is quite a big part of our world today. But what is it like in the Wizarding and fairytale community? Do the characters Tweet, have their own Youtube channels, write fanfics on Wattpad...? Write it up in any way you like - it could be a traditional story, a series of messages, a poem, a script - just make sure it is as original as it possibly can be!

AND/OR

Option 2:

Continue the story of the election. You've already given a snippet about politics in their world, but I want to hear more. I want to hear about how the country ends up afterwards, whether things change for the better or the worse.

Option 3:

50 word story/poem (kind of inspired by this image.) We all know that there is no such thing as a happy ending. Give me details about what horrors your character experiences in what was supposed to be their "happy ever after".

I hope this sounds alright for everyone. The deadline is 11pm UK time, 20th of July 2017, as that is when I was planning for the competition to end. However, if you would rather I give you more time, comment HERE please.

By the way, here are the house standings, if you were wondering.

House Standings:

Gryffindor

99 House Points

Hufflepuff

200 House Points

Ravenclaw

607 House Points

Slytherin

677 House Points

As you can see it is very close between Ravenclaw and Slytherin - a mere seventy points - not a lot at all. That means that this final competition really will determine everything! So it would be great if everyone could please get involved for the final competition. (If you need a reminder of what your house is, just ask here.)

Bye for now,

GryffindorHermione :D
