Hiraeth
He wandered alone, with nowhere in mind,
Not like he has anywhere to go in the first place.
Or a home he can call his, to return back to,
A dwelling in which he would have his solace.
Fine piece of art he captured while he travelled,
A journey beyond mountains, beyond imagination.
The things he learned, some things he realised,
Thing he enjoyed whilst hated was emancipation.
He was yearning for a mother's dull lullaby,
He was dying to hear his father's advice,
He was still free but bounded by his memories,
Of his burning home and his parents’ cries.
You say love is a strongest feeling you could have,
Have you ever tasted the bitter hiraeth?
It eats you alive like that lost wandering boy
Who still travel and traces his sillage.
