Escapist

I was an escapist of a sacred cell,

The only place of chains I called a dwell.

It was an unknown home to me,

Where I wanted to stay but needed to flee.

The place made me claustrophobic too,

I watched a sapling in corner that grew.

And the longer I stayed, the larger it got,

A feeling of happiness to me it brought.

I realised that your love was the cell,

The way my emotions changed,I coudn't tell.

The green tree withered, losing it all,

My feeling went from summers to fall.

And I just limped past the dead leaves,

That's how I became an escapist.

How time changed, oh how it fly

It also amended, so does I.
