I checked the time and it was 7:30 . Oh shit I am screwed. I am supposed to get there by 8. My first day at work and I am late. I quickly grab my purse and lock the door behind me. I run to the bustop and realized I missed the bus by five minutes. I didn't have enough money so I had to wait for the next bus. When I arrived I moved straight to zoey(the receptionist).
"Hi"
"Why are you late,you are soooo dead"
"Erm I..".... Then I heard his voice
"YOU ARE LATE ON YOUR FIRST DAY AT WORK "
I flinched at the tone of his voice
" I-I-I missed t-the bus to work a-a-a-nd I had to wait for the n-n-next bus"
His face softens which is weird considering the fact that he was angry few minutes ago.
"Follow me " he says.
"Y-yes sir"
With that he turns to leave. I look at Zoey and she gives me thumbs up. I quickly turn around and follow him. I practically had to run because he was taking long strides. He opens the door and I move just in the nick of time to avoid being hit by the closing of the door.
"Miss West"
"Sir"
"Here"
He hands me an Apple laptop, a phone and an iPad. I just stay rooted to the spot.
