The next morning I woke up early and prepared breakfast for both of us. I was contemplating whether to talk about the kids or not . I sipped in an iced tea while awaiting for him. I hear his door shut and hear footsteps approaching the kitchen.
"Hi" he says to me
" hello... my voice came out strangled betraying me.
I made breakfast.
"Thanks " he replies
We eat our breakfast in silence. I decided to give it a try
"About yesterday.... I start
"What about it "
"In the club "
"Mmhhhmmm..... he probs
"You don't remember? I ask slowly
"Nope. Did I embarrass myself
"No! I quickly respond
"Okay ....then ?
"Never mind. I trail slowly
We continue with our breakfast. He helps me clear the dishes. We moved towards the living area when we were done
"So how are you feeling? I ask
He just stares into my eyes.
"I mean after yesterday's incident" I fumble
"Am okay, just a little bruised. You seem to have known Dylan Levi "
"Yeah I do"
"How"
I shift uncomfortably and he notices
"It's okay if you don't want to talk about it "
"That's alright. I was working with Dylan before I came to your side. He wasn't only my boss but my boyfriend as well"
"Was"
"Yeah"
"Why what happened, if you don't mind me asking"
"He got another girl pregnant"
"A girl....." he asks anxiously . Did he mention her name"
"No. All he said was she is a model"
"Hmmmm"
"Why, what are you thinking"
"Nothing"
""Erm .....okay"
He looks at me unsure for a while and said " from what you have said and what I saw yesterday, I feel there is something suspicious amongst those two"
"Really?"
"Yeah and I will get to the bottom of it"
Our flight is at 11:00am. We should start packing now. It's 10 now"
"Sure" I say, making my way over to my room.
I come out after 30 minutes pulling my luggage behind me. Aiden was already in the living area with a man.
" Hayley, this is bob. He is going to take care of our luggage."
"Hi, nice meeting you"
Bob takes the lead with our luggage and we follow right behind him. We take a cab to the airport. We make our way to the boarding gate where our private jet awaits us.
