"What the what?!" Onora exclaimed shortly. She couldn't believe it, she absolutely couldn't believe it.
"Everything has been tied up and taken care of. Bags packed, and all is ready to go." The ever calm voice of Walter did very little to calm Onora down. She had just had the pleasure of realising that outside, in the small lobby area of the building, were suitcases. Now, there wasn't anything at all suspicious - much - about suitcases in a lab building, but noticing the patchy material from years of travelling about, and repairs, it took Onora a moment to register something: they were hers. Her suitcases sat to one side in the lobby, both bags seemed to sit motionless and mocking her.
She had promptly stomped over and pointed at them, demanding an answer. Walter seemed to be the one to give it. Just so happened, really, that the simple, noncommittal tone he used to speak, didn't do anything to calm the moment. It made it worse. Even Harper stood to one side fidgeting from foot to foot, twiddling his fingers. He seemed to be mumbling under his breath, worried about this all. It did look bad, it looked really bad. "Wait...what?!" Onora shouted again, causing Harper to wince and Walter to just remain as he was. Standing in front of her and looking at her simply. He had followed after her as she stomped away. She figured her tantrum looked pathetic to him. Not that she cared! Someone had been in her house, someone had packed her bags, someone had been through her things to pack her bags! The nerve of it! Weyland-Yutani were going to a whole new level of bastard by doing this. What honestly gave them the right to do this to anyone? Let alone her?! How did they even know she was going to say yes? And if she did, she would've liked to have packed her own things. She slowly looked away from the cases, and to the synthetic.
Walter's head minutely tilted, as if to mimic confusion. "Yes?" Even his tone sounded mildly confused. He didn't understand why she kept staring at him. Was there something wrong with him? He sent a look to Harper, who just glanced back at him. He looked at Walter like he looked at anyone else; or rather he looked at Walter the same way as always.
"Please tell me you weren't the one who packed my things?" Onora asked, dread was slowly filling her. It was one thing for a person to go rifling through her things, but an android? Who knows what he would've packed, if he was the one who did it. She shuddered as well, her privacy was just all well and truly violated.
"I accompanied another." Walter said decisively.
Onora raised an eyebrow. "Another..." She trailed off quietly as she glanced down at her cases. She didn't even want to know who this other person was. She was just figuring that it was best to leave it be. Yes, she felt hugely put off by all of this. "How?"
"I don't understand your question." Walter said while looking her over, as if taking in her cross armed, and closed off body language would clue him in. It didn't. He was picking up the feeling of annoyance from her, and he believed that stemmed from her bags being prepared for her. But he didn't get why it was being sent in his direction. He hadn't done anything.
Onora sighed and hung her head, "How did you even know I would say yes? Let alone be this prepared?" She waved a hand at the cases.
Walter straightened up, Onora peeked through a blonde curtain of hair at him. "There was a ninety percent chance of you agreeing to come. A ten percent margin is rather minute, in these circumstances; which meant whether you agreed, or not, we were prepared for either outcome."
Onora narrowed her eyes, "Jesus Christ." Walter blinked, the first time in over five minutes and she just looked at him blankly. "Jesus Christ!" She shouted louder while slapping her hands to her face. She wasn't one for blaspheming, but she really couldn't believe all of this. This was unbelievable!
"Shall we...go?" Harper, for the first time spoke up in the background. "We have a schedule-"
"I don't give a stuff about your schedule right now!" Onora shouted. "Listen here, I don't care about you badgering me to agree; if it came to that, but I do care when you send some lackeys to my apartment, and pack my bags! Do you people not know how illegal that is? Breaking and entering? Hello? Hello?!" Onora said shortly and ended up exclaiming tiredly and leaning forwards to wave in Walter's line of sight when he just took to picking her bags up.
