Karine seemed to waste no time in greeting the blonde biologist when she walked through the door. "Nora! It is so good to see you again," Onora looked up with a smile. Karine just smiled right back, tucking a strand of browny blonde hair behind her hair as she watched Walter and Harper in the background. The base was just like any other military base. They were being kept inside, to reduce the risk of getting an illness of any type. Quarantine wasn't quite an easy ride. Being kept inside all the time meant that they could all only look through the windows and admire the weather of the day, unless it was raining; if it was raining then no one cared, most seemed pleased then because it would lessen the chance of doing anything with the day anyway. The sun was mocking, brightly shining, blue skies and white fluffy clouds. Everyone lasted about a couple of days before growing bored and wanting to go out. But they couldn't. The endless tests was the usual routine, Karine almost felt sorry for Onora, for what she just walked in on. She was breaking regulation by greeting her. She may have slipped past her husband, who was a stickler for listening to those in charge, and even security. Karine just thought that Onora wouldn't feel so off, so hesitant about walking into a room of people she didn't know, if someone she did know was with her.

"Oh, hey!" Onora looked up at Walter as he stood by her side with her bags in his hands. "Thanks for the recommendation." She said sarcastically with a frown.

Karine laughed nervously and ran a hand through her hair. "About that...I'm sorry, yeah? Just, you would think there would be more biologists drafted than just me."

"New world hunting, or something, yes?"

"Something like that." Karine sighed but then shook her head, "Come on, let's go find you somewhere to settle." There were still spare rooms, more were planned to be on the crew, but they didn't check out. Sure, there wasn't many places left where she could claim as a temporary home, but there was surely somewhere.

"Thank you," Onora smiled, more than happy to try and find somewhere to just sit, in silence, and contemplate just how exactly her life suddenly took such a turn of events. Walter was still beside her, seemingly intent on accompanying both females to their new destination, bags still in hand. Harper was wittering on about Karine being out of the safety zone of where the crew were kept in a whole complex, and away from any contact with the outside world. No one seemed to pay attention to the small male, yet he didn't join them. He walked off down another corridor, Onora turned her head and watched him go before looking questionably up at Walter.

"His office," Walter explained quietly while she nodded and let out a thoughtful hum.

With a frown she double took, "He has an office?" She whispered incredulously. Who had thought that? Harper seemed like - no offence - such a wet blanket that she couldn't actually imagine him being so important as to have an actual office. Like what did he do? Other than bombard people at work?

There was the slightest of smiles on Walter's face at that, it was minute, the corner of his mouth twitched upwards ever so slightly, but it was there nonetheless. "He does."

"Does he work here, specifically?" Onora asked while Walter's smile disappeared and he unfortunately nodded his head. She sighed and hung her head with a small accompanying groan. It was no offence to him, really, but the less spent being bombarded by Harper the better. It wasn't that he specifically came out with anything worthwhile either, as rude and mean as that sounded.

"He doesn't visit often though." Karine looked over her shoulder with a smile. "Which is good, no one else is a massive fan either, so don't worry. You're really not alone in your dislike for him."

"It's not that I dislike him, he's just..."

"Annoying?" Karine offered, Onora laughed and Walter tilted his head with slightly narrowed eyes. He was clearly trying to figure out if Karine's words were accurate or not. "Anyway," she said while pausing at some metallic grey double doors. "You ready to meet the rest?" Karine smiled and watched as Onora slowly shook her head, "They're wanting to meet you," Karine wasn't the only one who was excited to meet another new person, another new member of crew. When she had explained the situation, when the other biologist didn't check out and pass the tests needed to be a suitable fixture of the crew, and that she had given the organisers another name; everyone had listened intently to hear of a possible new candidate. A hushed excitement had definitely enveloped them all, there was only so much that everyone could deal with. So of course a new person to meet and chat to was the best thing to happen since, well, since arriving and even being considered for this mission.

"Walter?" Onora watched as Karine pushed open the doors, there was another small room which was clearly a little decontamination chamber of some sort. They got blasted with air and suction before Karine typed in a code to the door in front of her. She easily pushed the door open and walked into the room which was on the other side. Even from where she still stood next to Walter, Onora could spy people busying around. It looked like a common room, sofas and chairs were dotted about, a television too.

"Yes?" Walter replied after watching Karine leave, he expected Onora to walk after her. But she didn't, which caused him to look at her with a small frown. She couldn't very well stay in this room for the foreseeable future. That just wasn't possible, or practical.

Onora fidgeted from foot to foot slightly while biting her lip in thought. "Can you not leave me?" She said in a struggled tone while twiddling her fingers and looking up at him with a worried expression. "I spend all my time working on my own, Walter. I don't interact with people, I don't do well with people, sometimes. Can you stay with me?"

Walter just looked at her, thinking over her words and trying to ponder up a suitable result. In the end, he bowed his head slightly. "If that is what you want. Come, I shall show you to your room, and then introduce you to everyone."

Onora laughed quietly, "I think Karine wanted to do that."

Walter frowned and shook his head, "She is currently talking to her husband." He explained, as if Karine was going to suddenly leave Chris to introduce Onora to everyone. Walter glanced down at her as he led her through a corridor, the people who were present did glance up at her as she passed, yet didn't waylay and call her over. There was plenty of time to meet and greet. "Where would you like to stay?"

"Where's free?" She questioned with a raised eyebrow. Figuring she was perhaps one of few who were alone, she expected there'd be plenty of room. From the sidelong looks she sent at those who were around, she could tell there were couples, if not everyone was with someone here. But the doors down this corridor were few, very few.

"This way," Walter commenced walking again and turned the corner, there were some more doors down here. He placed a bag on the floor before opening a door, he pushed it open and then side stepped to let her see into the room. Onora stood by his side and looked in, double bed, simple furniture; a desk, a small table near the window, some chairs, chest of drawers even a built in wardrobe. They had really wasted no expense, it looked like a hotel room, not a temporary pitstop before going into space. Onora supposed though, that they needed to make the crew as comfortable as possible to stop tensions from running high. "Is this suitable?"

"It isn't quite home. But it'll do, thank you, Walter." She said slowly with a measured nod. Nowhere would be home though, she was aware to that. Smiling she thanked him and picked up the bag he had placed down. She walked in and sat on the edge of the bed. She looked around with her bag by her feet. "How long are we going to be here for?"

Walter followed her in and placed her other bag down beside the bed. He stood and looked down at her, "Firstly, it needs to be seen if you are able to join the crew."

Onora frowned, "So, if not, I've come here for nothing? You would've sorted out everything, for nothing? How pointless does that seem?" Onora groaned and slapped her hands to her face. She couldn't believe it. If she didn't pass whatever tests were sent her way, then she'd be shirked off and sent home. The same home which presumably was either released from her ownership, or paid up by Weyland-Yutani to possibly return to. Let alone her job! It was all so problematic, she despaired slightly with another groan. Yet she looked up when the bed shifted beside her, she peeked out of her fingers to see Walter sitting straight-backed and looking down at her.

"You asked me not to leave you." Walter explained when she was looking at him confusedly. "So I won't."

Onora laughed, "I meant it in the sense of when we were meeting everyone, Walter!" She shook her head and pushed hair over her shoulder. "I didn't mean it literally for every little thing." She smiled at him as he looked around simply before nodding, standing and turning to the door. He gestured to it, and Onora inhaled deeply before standing up and following Walter out of the room. The crew couldn't be that bad, right? She was getting worked up for no reason, no reason at all.
