Chapter 2 ~Strange Things

                                                                                    "Come to my house now"Kara said.

"Sure."Alex said and began walking towards the direction of Kara's house.
Whatever she needed to talk about sounded really urgent.Alex walked as fast as she could to Kara's house.Before she could even realize she was at Kara's front door and ringing the doorbell.Her friend opened the door almost immediately.
"So glad you're here, I need to talk to you."She said.
"Come to my room."She says shortly after.
"So,what's so important?"Alex asks when she entered the room.
"Well,when I was walking home from school, I got this weird feeling and I hovered in the air."Kara said.
Alex took some time to process what she had just said hovered? No way was that possible.
"Must be your imagination or something."Alex said.
"No,it was real.I flew all the way here."She said looking slightly mad.
"Hmm,very interesting. Did you tell Jason?"Alex says thinking.
"Not yet, he might think I'm weird."Kara says.
"Let's go get some food I'm starving."Alex says her stomach grumbling.
"You're always hungry."Kara teases.
"I am not"Alex complains.
Kara and Alex go down the stairs and arrive at Kara's kitchen to be greeted by her mom.
"Hi,Mrs.Lane."Alex says.
"Hi,Alex would you like a smoothie?"Kara's mom asks.
Alex almost forgot how nice Kara's mom was.
"Sure,I'd like a watermelon one."Alex says.
"You know my go to mom."Kara replies.
Mrs.Lane started making the smoothies and Kara and Alex started talking about the project.
"Have you started the project yet?"Alex asks.
"Not yet, Melody's making me do the poster and I'm not so good at drawing.She sent me all in research though."She says.
"Maybe I can help you and then you can help me do the research?"Alex suggests.
"Why not?"Kara says.
Ms.Lane hands us our smoothies and Kara and Alex head towards her room.Kara takes out some paper from her drawer and started planing out what would go where.She likes to be organized and also beach use this would be a huge mark on our report cards.Meanwhile, Alex was researching.
"Alex, could you come here and help me?"Kara asks.
Alex comes over to where Kara is working and sits down next to her.
"I'm having trouble drawing the flag.And basically everything else."Kara admits.
"It's alright I'll help you."Alex says.
Alex reaches for the pencil but before she could her hand started glowing purple and before any one of them could figure out what was going on all the drawings had been done.
"What in the world was that?"Kara asks.
"I don't know.Seems as weird as your flying powers."Alex says.
