Tasha: The next day we landed in Japan. We were met by hundreds of police. “Cool,” Steve said, “We need your help.” He approached the first cop.

“Anything,” the man said in his thick Japanese accent.

“We need everyone in the city evacuated,” Steve said, “Like now.”

The officers passed along the words. It wasn’t long until they scattered, going to get the families from their homes.

I left as some people left their homes, and some protested the evacuation. I couldn’t say I blamed them. I watched as little girl laid down on the ground and screamed.

“AVIS,” I said, “Translate.”

“Come child,” the woman said, “We have to hurry.”

“NO!” the little girl screamed.

“NOW,” the woman said, taking the girl by her wrists and picking her up. I saw a man.

“Why should we have to leave because of what some American ‘super heroes’ claim?” he was asking angrily.

“For your safety,” the officer said told the man calmly.

“I asked you WHY!” the man said, pushing the officer.

“AVIS,” I said, “Translate my mic also.”

I stepped forward towards the fight. “Stop!” I shouted. It came through my helmet Japanese.

“I refuse to do as you tell me,” the man shouted, “You’re a dirty American!”

“Don’t insult me!” I shouted, “We’re helping you!”

“With what?!” the man screamed.

“A man who wants to hurt you and everyone else for no reason!” I yelled, “He wants to BOMB you!”

“AVENGERS,” the voice boomed, “I SEE YOU TRIED TO BE THE HERO! I’LL BE NICE. YOU HAVE FIVE MINUTES UNTIL THIS PLACE IS LEVELED! I DON’T WANT TO KILL THEM, BUT I’M HARDLY PATIENT.”

“Thank you for your help,” the man I had been fighting with previously said, rushing away. Chaos broke out over the city, pushing and shoving to leave. Towards the back I saw a little boy who was knocked over. I started towards him.

“AVIS,” I said, “How many people can I carry?”

“Up to 14, but you aren’t really thinking this are you?” AVIS said.

“People need my help,” I said.

“There’s 5 minutes,” AVIS said.

“I know,” I said, “I’ll be fine. I’m going to get as many people as possible.”

I flew to the family of the boy, grabbing a few hands. “Grab people as I go by,” I said to them. They did and extra people jumped up, screaming.

“You’ve reached your max weight for flight,” AVIS said as we flew over the crowd.

“Do I look like I care right now?” I asked, dropping the people on the hill and going back for more.

I did this multiple times. When I landed for more, Carol saw me.

“We’ve got to go Tasha!” she yelled.

“I’m fire proof,” I said, “These people aren’t.”

“Are you going to be okay in a nuclear strike or worse?” Carol asked.

“I hope so,” I said, “Cause I’m not done.”

“Tasha,” Tony said, “Come on.”

“No,” I said.

“It’s a direct order,” Tony said.

“Sure it is,” I said, “Come on, help.”

He grabbed a few people and we continued. There weren’t many left.

“AND THE CITY ERRUPTED IN A NUCLEAR STRIKE THAT WENT INTO THE HISTORY BOOKS FOREVER!” the voice cried out.

“TASHA!” Tony yelled as I flew into the flames. I went in, my suit heating up.

“The heat is too much for your suit,” AVIS said, “You’ll burn.”

“There’s more,” I said. I grabbed four more people, who had severe burns on their skin. But the rest already looked gone. I flew them to an officer.

“Get them somewhere soon,” I instructed, although I was certain there were burns covering my skin. The world suddenly started getting darker and darker. The my knees went out and the world went black.
