Chapter 16-Beach

"Hey" I say, entering the living where Laura, Jacob, Tom, Macy and Harrison are sitting.

"Morning" they all call out and I look at the tv as it's talking about the world.

"I'm bored" Harrison groans.

"Nice to meet you, bored. I'm Karissa" I say and he give me a look.

"We could go somewhere" Laura suggests.

"Like where?" Macy asks.

And that's how we got to Laura's families private beach.

I float in the ocean with Harrison.

"This is peaceful" I say and Harrison hums.

"Yes it is" he says.

"Ya know, Tom likes you" he starts.

"Nah" I say, looking around.

"I'm his best friend, I know his emotions without him even telling me" he says and I smile.

I hear a song being before realizing it's Talk Dirty.

"First class seat on my lap girl!" I shout.

"Riding comfortable!" Harrison shoots back and we continue doing that for the whole song, trying to dance in the water, which failed.

We later found out that they had taken a video of us and posted it on Instagram.

"What are your feelings for Harrison?" Tom asks as we sit on the beach, the others swimming.

"He's my friend?" I ask and he doesn't say anything.

"Tom are you... are you jealous?" I ask him.

"What? No" he says as he gets pink cheeks.

"Tom I kissed you last year, not him." I remind him, grabbing his hand.

He sighs and looks up.

"I know, it's just.. sometimes I think you both like each other" he says and I smile.

"Tom I promise you, I don't like him like that" I tell him and he looks down at me, a small smile on his lips.

"Do you still like me?" He asks me and I nod.

"Yeah. Do you still like me?" I ask him, a bit nervous. He smiles and nods.

"Yeah" he says, laying his right hand on my cheek.

"Hey you guys should totally kiss!" Harrison hells and we both jump away from each other.

"Harrison!" Macy shouts.

"I'm just gonna go swim" I say, my face red.
He nods, us both standing.

"Yeah me too" he says and we both run in. I swim over to Laura and Macy while Tom goes to Harrison and Jacob.

"I'm so mad that he interrupted that" Macy whines.

"You guys were so close" Laura whines.

"He likes me" I say and they both grin.

"Knew it" Macy says.
