Its the early morning, the boys, managers, other staff and myself all have our carry -on luggage as we wait for our flight. We're constantly on the move as ARMYs surround us anywhere we go. The guys are dressed in their usual airport attire which consists of face masks, glasses, over sized jackets and carry- on bags. I rush behind all the boys, lugging my backpack and a small camera bag, that needs to be readily available for when the boys need it to make Bangtan Bombs or the managers want something filmed for later use. The fan sites and paparazzi snap countless photos of the boys as we scramble to the through the crowded airport. I judge my simple and mundane outfit of Adidas leggings, a gray hoodie and maroon Converse, that can't compare to the expensive brands that the guys wear. The joke is on them though, I picked the comfiest outfit, whereas they all dress for fashion purposes. My motto for the airport is functionality over fashion, especially for long flights, like this one.
I end up getting pulled to the side by security because I have to go through immigration as I am on a work Visa, so I have to go through it when I leave the country and enter it. I lock eyes with the guys as they rush past me. Since Korea fees like a second home, I forget sometimes that I'm not actually a citizen. They give me sympathetic looks as they know I will probably end up getting on the flight at the last minute because I get lost easily in airports and immigration security takes for-fucking-ever. One of the managers offers to stay with me, but I wave him off because the guys need him more than I do. Besides, I'll manage by myself as I always do. After about 25 minutes at immigration explaining my job, what I was doing in the country, how long I was going to be gone, etc., I am able to try and catch up with the rest of the group. I check my phone and realize my window of time to get on the flight is closing, quickly. I break into a run to try and make it on time. Even though I've traveled from the Incheon International Airport numerous times, I still struggle with trying to find gates, and this last-minute pressure isn't helping. I stand on my tiptoes trying to see if I can locate the gate, just then my phone rings.
"Hello?" I say in a slight panicked voice.
"Baby? Where are you? The plane is boarding now." Namjoon responds, clearly worried.
"I can't find the gate. I got turned around. I hate this airport. There's too many people, I can't see it." I say, wandering around more, attempting to find a gate.
"Ours is Gate 6, Where are you? I'll stay outside. The rest of the boys have boarded."
"I'm by gate..." I look around to find where I am, "... 3! I'm almost there. And no! Get on the plane. I won't have you missing this flight because of me. I'll be there." I retort.
"I am not boarding this plane without you." He argues.
"Alright. Alright." I huff. "I think I see you. Bye." I groan.
I hang up and rush towards the gate. Namjoon must've seen me coming because he wrapped me a brief hug before pulling out our boarding passes. The fan sites take some pictures of our hug, but that was expected. They like to show of our relationship, which is perfectly fine with me. I know we're cute, might as well show it off a little. We smile at the cameras, which caused some squeals and more flashes, before walking, hand in hand, onto the plane to take our seats.
*Thank goodness. I was thinking you weren't going to make it.* He jokes in the loading tunnel.
*Thanks for having faith in me. Aish.* I grab my chest, acting hurt.
We continue to walk through the aisle, I grab my empty seat by the main stylist, who looks just as relived that I made the flight, Joon runs his hand through my hair as he walks by to sit by Jungkook. I tell the stylist what happened and we joke about how foolish it would've been if I missed the flight. After settling in, I pull out a book I brought in my carry-on and some headphones so endure this 26- hour flight. Take off runs smoothly and soon enough we are soaring through the sky to Chile. But before I can stop myself, my head lulls back and I close my eyes, I didn't sleep much last night as I was too busy packing and prepping for the international tour. Now the real fun can begin; we get to visit countless, exciting cities, make thousands of fans happy and live out our dream through all the hard work that we put into this tour. The tour started in the middle of February, here in Seoul, and those shows went above what we had practiced and anticipated. The crowds were excited, singing their hearts out, dancing, and having a, what seemed like, the best nights of their lives. The guys put so much energy into those performances and if they keep going at that rate, I don't know how we will be able to finish the tour. It's amazing how much they do in their performances, all in the sake of their dreams and for the ARMYs, I don't think I'll ever be able to fully comprehend it. I can't wait to see what the rest of this tour holds!
