Chapter 3 - Hiccup

"Come on, Toothless, fly higher so I can reach the clouds!" I tell my dragon while riding on his back.

Toothless flies higher, until my head is already above the clouds.

"Whoa..." I gasp as I watch the clouds float slowly in the sky. One of the clouds even touches my face and disappears. "Hey! Come back here, cloud! I want to eat you!"

Suddenly, I have a plan. I open my mouth as wide as I can and wait for another cloud to come, and after a few seconds of waiting, one of them finally does come. It goes inside my mouth and half a second before I get to shut my mouth and keep the cloud in there (which I believe is impossible), the cloud disappears.

"Stupid evaporation," I murmur to myself.

I decide to stop playing with random clouds and trying to eat them. Besides, that's not normal for a legendary dragon trainer like me. I mean, what would your reaction be if you see Hiccup the Dragon Trainer acting all stupid by trying to eat clouds.

I look down and admire the beautiful view of valleys and plains below me.

Then suddenly, I notice a tall, gray stone tower standing in the far corner of the land. It has vines creeping all over it, and it looks as thrilling and mysterious as I know it is.

"Toothless, fly to that tower," I tell Toothless. "And let's go inside. I wanna see what's in there."

While Toothless flies swiftly to the tower, I remember a bedtime story my mom used to read to me when I was little. It was about a girl named something like Rachel or Punzel that lived in a tall tower with a wicked witch for 18 years, then she finally escaped with some guy named something like Finn George or Finn Bob. Then they got married and lived happily ever after in a palace with the King and Queen.

I shake my head at that absurd story. That's impossible to be real. It's impossible that Rachel or Punzel or whatever her name is used to live in this tower I'm currently flying towards to. I mean, it's just a fairy tale. Or a story. Or whatever nonsense it is.

Anyway, after about two minutes, we arrive at the tower and we go inside.

Right there, I see a man.

A very familiar looking man.

This is strange. How can someone I know be living in this mysterious tower?

This man is holding an orange in one hand and a knife in his other hand.

That's strange. Isn't he...

"Eugene?" I gasp.

"Nah," the man says lightly with no emotion as he continues to peel the orange, not even looking at my face.

That's Eugene, alright. I remember him perfectly well. It's him. He was my best friend when I was little.

"Eugene, it's me!" I tell him.

"The name's Flynn."

"Flynn?" I ask, confused.

"Flynn Ryder."

You have got to be kidding me.

"Wait... As in Flynn Ryder the one who got married to Rachel...or Punzel... Or whatever her name is..:?"

"If you were talking about Rapunzel, then yes."

No mother-frigging way.

"Wait... But... Wait... What?"

"What?" He sighs in frustration.

"I don't get it. Rapunzel actually exists? Wait... You... Exist? But wait... You're not Flynn Ryder, you're Eugene! I'm confused."

"Well I was Eugene before. But now my name's Flynn Ryder. And yes, I exist. And yes, Rapunzel exists. Oh and I know you're Hiccup, don't worry boy. I remember you from kindergarten. You were that awkward little Viking boy who was actually my best friend. Now let me ask you, what are you and your dragon doing in this tower?" He asks me, stepping forward and sliding a knife out of his pocket.
