Chapter 8 - The Long Lost Cousin

Elsa's POV

I suddenly jump up in surprise when I see Jack sleeping in my bed. What the hell is he doing here? Did he do something to me while I was asleep? Did he do something? Oh gosh, I don't wanna lose my virginity! Or did I just lose it?

I don't know what exactly I'm supposed to do. Should I wake Jack up and bombard him with a bunch of questions? Or should I just wait for him to wake up then bombard him with a bunch of questions?

My bad side of my brain wins and I decide to wake Jack up right now. I'm very impatient right now and I need to know what I want to know.

I violently shake Jack until he wakes up.

His back is facing me, so he rolls to the opposite direction and he smiles at me. "Good morning, Elsie," he says flirtatiously and winks.

I sternly fold my arms and shoot him a dirty glare.

"Already excited to see me, huh?" He teases arrogantly.

"I don't have time for any of your lame egotistical comments. I demand to know what you did to me during the night."

Jack slowly sits up and looks at me in confusion. "What did I do to you during the night?"

"That's what I'm asking you, Jack."

"I showed you around the jungle, we roasted squirrels together, I made you a bed, and kissed you goodnight."

"No, that's not what I meant, Jack. What are you doing in my bed?"

"I was sleeping, until you very rudely interrupted my beauty sleep."

"You know what I mean, Jack. Tell me the truth. Why are you sleeping in my bed? Did you do 'it' to me while I was sleeping?"

A grin spreads across Jack's face and I immediately realize what this means. He did do 'it' to me while I was sleeping! That shameless bastard!

"Jack! You whore! How can you do to this to me?!" I yell.

Jack suddenly starts laughing out of the blue, which makes me even more angry. What's so funny?

"Stop laughing! This is not funny!" I yell.

He immediately stops laughing and says, "I was just joking, Elsa. I didn't do anything to you. I just slept with you because I didn't know where else to sleep. Nothing happened. I just slept, I swear."

I eye him carefully and realize that he's being serious. I feel relieved that he didn't do anything to me. I don't really know Jack that well yet, but maybe I can give it a try and trust him for now.

I don't really know what to say to him, so I just decided to change the topic. "I'm thirsty. I'll go and get some water from the river. I'll be back in a few." I stand up and walk towards Banana and we head towards the river.

After a while, we finally reach the river.

But there's something strange about this river.

Oh, right. There's no water.

"Damn it," I mutter to myself. "What happened to all the water?"

Banana and I ride back to the place where Jack and I slept. Once we arrive, I rub a few oranges at Banana's leg.

"I'm thirsty too. I'll be going to the river. I'll be back in a few," Jack says and stands up.

"Wait, Jack-" I call out and he turns around and looks at me. "I just came from the river. There was uh, there was no water. The river is empty. So just don't go there because that's just a waste of time."
