chapter 16 - first week o summer

I had been pacing all day after seeing Militia being beat by that filthy Muggle

I had sent a earlier Letter to the borrow my sadly owl came back with nothing I was do scared that maybe she was really hurt

just as I was about to grab some floo powder and go to the borrow I heard something scraping at my window I rushed over to see Vlad with a letter from Militia

I'm OK just bruised and bloody I've been worse you don't need to worry about me I know you did all you could and that was sweet of you

I quickly opened the bag and crushed the pearl saying

with a flash of teal blue and aqua green I was standing in a room
With a bed that had Slytherin colors I knew it was the right room from Militia's letter

I turned to the sound of a door opening that's when I saw a surprised but clearly happy Militia

" Draco she half yelled as she ran over to me and threw herself into my hug I couldn't help but spin her around she started giggling as we stopped

" I was so worried Militia are you sure your OK I said pointing at her bruised legs and face

I hate to admit that Muggle anything was good but I will say the Muggles clothes looked amazing on Militia I thought to myself

before being snapped out of my thoughts by her pulling me by my wrist to the middle of her room she quickly ran off and hit play on her radio

Listening to the last song and dancing with her seeing her smile , hearing her laugh made my heart melt I didn't feel alone or cold anymore when I'm with her

that's when it hit me I liked Militia I can't she's dating Fred ya a weasly but still I tried to shove the feels away for now and let it play out

As we started dancing to a another Muggle singer named Olivia Holt

Mrs . Weasly walked in and stopped in her tracks

" it's OK Molly he's one of my best friends he came to check up on me he saw what happened at the train station Militia said throwing her arms over my shoulders smiling

" OK dead just keep it quiet if Mr . Malfoy wishes he can stay the night Molly said before walking out

So looks like your spending the night she said jumping on my back

Got to the closest so I can grab some blankets and pillows she said as I held her up it was fun giving her a piggy back ride she squealed like a little girl which caused me to start laughing it only made her laugh harder

After a few hours of dancing we both went to sleep she slept on the floor in a pillow fort we made we called it Mount Slytherin

I woke up to Fred knocking on the door saying breakfast was ready

I quickly got up and crawled over to Draco's side of the fort " Draco breakfast is ready I said shaking him

He quietly groan before getting up he waited as I quickly changed in my bathroom I quickly grabbed a pair of short cutoff shorts , black tank top , and a red half sleeve flannel shirt that I tied like a crop top , and laced up my red convers before putting my hair up in a high curly ponytail

I quickly raced down the stairs laughing at Draco's sleepy yawn as he followed me down the stairs where everyone but Molly stopped what they were doing

" what are you doing her Malfoy spat Ron

" what are you doing her Draco when and how Fred snapped

" for Merlin's sake shut up both you I snarled back

I was so angry that they were being so rude to a friend of mine

I hadn't realized that my wolf ears , and tail had shifted so they were showing as I calmed down I decided to let my ears and tail stretch I didn't care about the Weasly's gasps

" he came last night to check on me Draco is one of my very very close friends I snapped

As I shared my seat with Draco who was suddenly now very awake Through out the day me and Draco chatted before he left

I had received many letters from everyone of my friends through out the first week of summer

And I couldn't wait to see my other friends me and Fred planned to spend a hour at the least each day in the meadow

I quickly realized Percy didn't like it trust me cause of my father I quiet frankly didn't give a damn

Ron had snuck one of Fred's letters to me it seemed like may trust me either after the breakfast I showed my wolf

I felt comfortable so I often walked around with them showing unless we had company

Draco would write or visit for a few hours we were growing closer and me and Fred were drifting apart I could tell he was starting to like Angelica another Gryffindor girl

I still loved Fred and hoped he would trust me but if he didn't I knew we'd be spilt apart as a couple before the end of summer I knew we'd always be close friends

I just didn't want him to replace me when he avoid me I'd go upstairs and cry while I danced to Shawn Mendes Aftertaste

It hurt but inside I knew I was the monster that the daily prophet kept making me

I couldn't take it anymore I fell in my knees listening to the song crying Ginny opened the door and rushed to my side
