Red- Prologue

Today was the day. It was the mate ball , and it was my year to participate since I turned 18. All my friends were thrilled, even the boys were excited.

I mean how could anyone not be excited, your mate is you're other half. Your soul mate and the only person you can love.

I didn't care too much about who my mate would be. If he was a alpha or an omega, I would love an cherish him just as he will cherish me.

I slipped out of bed and skipped to my closet to pick out a cute outfit to impress my mate for tonight.

After about half an hour of decided I layer a white lace dress on my bed and paired the dress with white heels.

I can't wait for tonight.

Iris said to me. Iris was my beautiful full white werewolf. I loved her to death. She was literally the other half of me.

Me too. Who do you think our mate will be!

I asked her excitedly.

I giggled at my wolf and continued to place jewelry down on my table for tonight to match my dress.

Alexis mink linked me.

Alexis was my best friend from since pretty much birth. She was mysterious but kind hearted. Not to mention she was beautiful. Her mate is going to be so excited to meet her.

I quickly put on some jeans and a red crop too which stood out from my skin.
Smiling at myself in the mirror, satisfied with my appearance, I grabbed my purse and ran downstairs into the kitchen. 

"Red you look so beautiful!" My mom giggled as she came to give me a kiss on the cheek.

"Thanks mom." I said hugging her.

"Are you excited!" She asked me. I nodded giving her a wide grin.

"Very." I replied.

"You should be, you're mate is the most precious thing to you in the world." She said as if I didn't already know.

"I know mom, I just hope my mate will love me back." I said worriedly. What if he wouldn't want me?

"Don't be silly, you're a beautiful talented girl! Not to mention you're next in line to be Beta." She said proudly.

My father was the second in command in the pack, better known as a beta. He stood beside the Alpha at all meetings, events, and pretty much in life. My dad was best friends with Alpha Cane.

Tonight his son Alpha Colton was going to become Alpha since he's turning 18 himself,  I still had a little while until I became Beta but I was still in training which I was okay with. The time will come.

"Thanks mom." I gave her a smile.

"The party starts at 7:00, Alexis asked me to go out to lunch with her before hand, is that okay?" I asked my mom with a pouty face.
Alexis was a sweet girl, but tended to get into trouble a lot, which my mom didn't like too much. But I knew she secretly saw Alexis as another daughter.
