RED

Red- Chapter 1

"Please don't go. My baby please. Do something about this Harley!" My mother said sobbing as I shoved my belongings into a luggage trying to ignore my mothers cries as they made me incredibly sad.

"I can't do anything about this Jacey, if she wants to leave she has the right too. She's 18 now and mateless why would she want to stay here." My dad said sympathizing with me.

Last night was one of the worst nights of my life.

I got rejected by my mate who was the alpha of the pack I am in, who I'm suppose to be second in command too and who my father was having over for dinner tonight.

My plan is to leave this morning and find a new home with another pack far away from my current pack.

I love my mother and father but besides them and Alexis I don't really have anyone here for me. Alexis found her mate so she will be okay without me.

Listening to her on the phone ramble on about how great her mate is made me so depressed about loosing Colton. I didn't tell her I got rejected by him, well I rejected him but only because he didn't know my name to do it himself.

I told my mother and father about the rejection but I told them not to tell anyone that it was the reason I'm leaving or that it even happened in the first place.
They also have no clue who rejected me. I just told them it was a kid in the pack and that's why I had to go.

"Mom, i'll call and visit at holidays. I'll keep you updated all the time. You were expecting me to go anyways with my mate so it doesn't make much of a difference." I said assuring her I would be okay.

"Not a difference ! Red you're leaving by your self not with a strong man who will protect you until he dies. You're also going rouge!!! If you pass on someone's terrifying even by accident you can be killed!" She said , almost hyperventilating.

"I know the pack areas , I know how to fight and defend myself. I'm not just any girl, I have Beta blood in me and I've been training since I was five. Please , just let me go." I said pleading her approval.

"This is what she needs." My father said grabbing my moms hand making her instantly more relaxed. She gave him a small smile and he kissed her forehead.

Seeing them in love with their bond made my heart ache for Colton.

Iris hasn't spoken to me since we, I , rejected our mate. I'm use to talking to her whenever I'm alone since I'm a only child. I've always thought of her as my sister or best friend. Being without her made me sad and feel lonely. I can't imagine how she's feeling though. I forced the rejection on her and Colton's wolf whom I am sure loves Iris.

"I want you to be safe." My mom said grabbing me in a hug.

"I promise mom."

"I want a hug too!" My said said in jealousy. I rolled my eyes at him and hugged him goodbye.

"Goodbye. I love you."

I drove for what felt like hours , and what probably was hours, into towns I've never seen and down roads I've never heard about.

I eventually drove into a very small town and from sniffing around I could only smell humans in the town , a perfect place for me to start over.

No one would know me, or even what I am and I want to keep it that way.

I ended up parking at a small motel that was located in the small down town area that was right across from a bar.

Locking my doors I walked into the front lobby of the motel and approached the lady sitting at the desk.
