I watched as the other wolves ran toward my mate with rage in their eyes as they went straight to his throat.

"No!" I screamed. My mate turned his head quick enough and bit the side of the brown wolf making the wolf whimper in pain.

My mate still standing over me growled at the remaining three wolves and all four wolves ran away into the forest.

My mate got off me and looked and me making sure I had no injury's.

"Thank you." I said to him walking towards him.

He backed up and growled at me. I halted to a stop and stared at him.

"Why are you growling at me." I asked slightly frightened by the power radiating off him.

He continued to back up until he hit a tree and he stared deep into my eyes.

Suddenly there was a howl in the distance and his ears perked up and he darted in the direction of the howl into the woods who knows where without even looking back.

And here I stood in the middle of the forest alone wondering what just happened.

Who were those other wolves that were going to attack me? And why did my mate run away from me?

He will be back. Don't worry.

Iris said assuring me , obviously feeling my stress.

Let's go back home. I'll get us to the truck.

Okay, we can shift.

I took off my clothing making sure there was no one around me. I got on all fours and felt a breeze as Iris took over and we shifted.

Iris is pure white with the tips of her ears being black and her eyes are the same green eyes I have. She is a very large she-wolf because of our old title as Beta and the amount of training we have done to become strong.

She was large but nearly as large as those other wolves. They were massively large. Maybe the wolves around here are just larger than the area my old pack is located.

Iris picked up my folded clothing between her teeth gently not to rip anything and we began running in the direction of the truck, following the familiar sent.

It was starting to get dark and I was hoping to get home before the sun fully sets.

I let out a sign mentally that my truck was still where we left it and that no one stole it.

We shifted behind a tree and I quickly put on my clothing and went to my car unlocking it with the keys I hid in the forest.

The drive home was short since I sped most of the way just wanting to get home away from the forest with the giant wolves who wanted to kill me.

When I arrived home I was so tired from the events of the day I practically ran into my house.

I unlocked the front door and was greeted by a bulky man standing in my hallway with two slightly , but still massive, men behind him.

"Colton sends his regards." The large man said before the two men behind him made their way towards me.

My instants said to run, but for some reason I was so scared I stood in my doorway like deers in headlights.

The first punch hurt like a bitch.

After about half an hour of being kicked , punched, threatened and a few broken ribs, the men left.

Iris tried to keep me strong by talking to me the whole time and using her own strength to keep me from blacking out.

They were defiantly werewolves , considering their size and that Colton sent them. He wouldn't know many humans like them. Plus their sent was very familiar to the pack I used to be apart of. They were too big for me to fight, especially since I haven't been training since I left my old pack.
