~Paris' POV~
The crowd started cheering, the whole stadium standing up in applause. The whole judges' panel stood up, and I looked at the girls as we all beamed with excitement.
Once the audience finished, we walked closer to the front of the stage and the judges sat down.
"Remarkable, truly remarkable," Louis said, causing another round of applause from the audience.
"And this is why I am the one that mentor's the groups," Simon said, and us girls laughed as the audience cheered and laughed. "Another amazing performance, girls."
"Simon, why can't you just let them bask in the glory of such an amazing performance?" Cheryl said, looking at him with a playful glare before looking back at us. "I can say it has been amazing to see you girls grow in this competition, and each week I have been saying that it was your girls' best performance. This time, I mean it when I say it was THE best performance you girls have put on." The crowd cheered in agreement. "Well done, all of you."
"Alright, next up we have Justine Barton," the host said. "To vote for Reality Check, dial xxx-xxx-xxxx or text RC to xxxx." The crowd cheered loudly as we walked off, and I jumped up and down as soon as we were off stage.
"That was amazing!" Savannah yelled, and the girls laughed. "You girls did awesome."
"Hey, hey, hey," I said. "You are a part of this just as much as we are." She brushed off the comment, and I shouldered her.
"Girls, go onto Twitter," Arabelle said, and we all pulled out our phones and went on. My eyes went wide when I saw the amount of mentions I was receiving, and the girls had the exact same faces I did. I also saw that '#RealityChecktowinXFactor' was the top trender worldwide. My eyes went wide, and I looked at all of them.
"We might actually win!" I exclaimed. "With the amount of people trending it..."
"Just have faith," Lily said, and we all nodded.
After Justine Barton finished performing, I stood at the side of the stage with the other girls, waiting until we went back on. Before she had finished, the top Twitter trend was still '#RealityChecktowinXFactor', but number 2 was '#JustineBartontowinXFactor', so it made me kind of nervous.
"You're on," a backstage worker said, and we walked on one side. Justine walked on the other side, and I stood huddled in with the girls. We put Savannah in the middle of the five of us, as she was the youngest and we always felt like we had to protect her and whatnot.
"Welcome back," the host said. "The votes are in, and we have the results." Someone came out and handed him the envelope, and I grabbed Savannah and Carson's hands. Savannah grabbed Arabelle's and Arabelle grabbed Lily's. Justine stood on the other side of the host looking nervous, and I felt bad for her. She was an amazing singer, but she didn't have friend support like our group did. We supported each other, and she was just by herself. "And the winner is..." He opened the envelope, and I felt a squeeze from Savannah. "Oh goodness, would you look at that. It seems it is a tie."
~Savannah's POV~
My eyes went wide, and I looked over at Justine. She looked shocked, and almost angry.
"This is a first," the host said. "Judges, what are we going to do?" We looked towards the judging panel, and Simon, Louis and Cheryl talked amongst themselves.
Once they came to a decision, Simon stood up.
"We decided that both acts will perform another song," he said. "And we will have a poll set up on Twitter. Whichever act will get the most votes, will be the winner." The crowd cheered. "You may perform a song you've already done, or a new song. You have 15 minutes to prepare, and then you will perform." We all nodded, and rushed off.
"What are we going to do?!" Arabelle asked. "How is 15 minutes enough time?!"
"Arabelle, calm down," I said, putting my arm around her shoulder. "Think of it as like when we sit in the room and just jam out." An idea came to me. "We can do one of our jam session songs!"
"Which one?" Paris asked. I turned to my bag and flipped through the little folder of songs we jam to, trying to find a song.
"Why don't we do one of your songs?" Lily suggested. The girls looked at her, and I froze. One of my songs? "I know you write; I've seen you while you're in the zone. We can do one of yours."
"Let's see them," Carson said. I sighed and went to my bag. I put the jam songs folder back and grabbed my notebook. I turned around, and I handed it to them. They flipped through it.
"What about this one?" Arabelle asked, pointing to one. I looked at it and I felt myself get emotional. It was one I wrote about Nathan.
"I like this one!" Paris exclaimed. "I think we should do it." The rest of the girls agreed, and I took a deep breath.
"Ok," I said. I told the backstage crew that we'd need a piano, and then we got parts. We went over it without the piano a couple times before it was time to stand at the side. Justine was going first.
"Ready girls?" I asked, trying to control my own nerves. Lily rubbed my back.
"If this song is too emotional for you, we don't have to," she told. I shook my head.
"We already practiced this," I said. Justine finished singing Every Rose Has It's Thorn by Poison. I heard the crowd cheer, and I took a deep breath before we went out.
I sat down at the piano and waited until the girls were ready. The crowd quieted down, and I started playing the piano.

Oh, you can't hear me cry
See my dreams all die
From where you're standing, on your own
It's so quiet here
And I feel so cold
This house no longer
Feels like home(All of them)
Ooohh, mmmmm x2(Carson)
Oh, when you told me you'd leave
I felt like I couldn't breathe
My aching body fell to the floor
Then I called you at home
You said that you weren't alone
I should've known better
Now it hurts much more(All of them)
Ooohh, mmmmm x2I couldn't help the tears that were flowing down my cheeks, and I felt embarrassed. We were performing. I couldn't be crying over Nathan now. But it happened anyway. He was the reason I wrote the song, the reason for these tears.
I looked at the crowd and saw all of them watching us in awe, loving the song or loving the way the girls moved around on stage. My eyes trailed the front row and I saw Nathan standing there, his eyes wide as he looked at me. I felt the tears flow faster, and I looked away.
I took a deep breath before I sang my part, letting my tears mix in with the words.

You caused my heart to bleed and
You still owe me a reason
'Cause I can't figure out why...
Why I'm alone and freezing
While you're in the bed that she's in
And I'm just left alone to cry(All of them)
Oh woah oh, oh; oh, woah oh, oh; yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah; yeah, yeah
(Lily)
You caused my heart to bleed and
You still owe me a reason
'Cause I can't figure out why

Oh, you can't hear me cry

This chapter didn't make me cringe too much. I was absolutely obsessed with this song at 15, and still today I think it's a pretty good song. Here you go; chapter 18
