Wayo 18 Years Old
His favourite thing to do was wander the hundreds and hundreds of acres of property that surrounded his father's estate.
This morning was like any other, Wayo had broken a branch from a tree he'd passed and was swinging it aimlessly as he approached the top of his favourite ridge. From here he could see for miles in the distance. The treetops were a vibrant green, and the river that cuts through the earth below was dark and murky.
From this vantage point, he could see that there were two decorated horses and two equally bedecked men on their backs, they were galloping across the floor of the valley. Even at this distance, Wayo thought they looked like noblemen and as they disappeared into a heavily forested area, it occurred to him that they were heading in the direction of a house that had sat empty for years. It was waiting for a tenant that could afford to care for such a large, almost palace-like building.

Thinking nothing more of it, he turned and headed back, his stomach was starting to growl. "Surely by now, they're gathering for lunch."
As he approached home, he could hear, long before he stepped foot inside, his mother's screeching voice, and the loud thumping footfalls of his two youngest brothers. They were fighting and chasing each other around the house.
Sutee, the youngest, was furious with his next oldest brother Kit. Kit had taken without permission, his best overcoat. Sutee was objecting and trying to get their mother's attention. She, however, had her own concerns. Her husband refused to do his duty and visit the new tenant who had just rented the long-empty house, an estate within an estate really.
Wayo's oldest and closest brother Fourth, met him just inside the door and helped him off with his jacket. The pair looked at each other; their eyes were rolling in their heads as the noise around them rang loud and filled the house.
