The rest of the week passed by much more smoothly than Valui had ever experienced in her entire life.

Her mornings consisted of "running into" Hitoshi on the bus as she went to school — they had a silent agreement to continue considering these run ins coincidences despite both of them knowing they were anything but. She would go to school and talk to Yumi and Amavi throughout the day — they had begun calling each other friends; Valui had never felt so happy in her life. Then, after her school let out, she would meet up with Hitoshi again — which weren't called coincidences — and they would go home together.

It was so perfect, she was almost certain something bad would happen.

Valui pushed the thought out of her mind. Today wasn't the day for negative, ominous thoughts. Today was the day of the sports festival. She stood in front of her bedroom mirror, doing a fourth check of how she looked — her hair was brushed and her bangs were clipped back as per usual; she wore a pair of short, jean shorts; her shirt and high topped shoes both had All Might graphics on them; and to top it off, she wore her usual blue and yellow jacket.

She looked normal.

Distantly, she wondered if she should have worn something different. Her common sense telling her that she'd be immensely unhappy if she did, though, shut that thought down quickly. Valui took one last look over herself, then looked down to the ticket held tightly in her fingers.

Starts at ten... I should get going soon so I can find my seat.

Valui was lying to herself; the real reason she wanted to get there early was to see Hitoshi before the festival started.

With a soft intake of breath, Valui spun on her heel and left her room, then her house, and began her walk to the train station. There were a number of people outside despite it being fairly early in the morning — all heading in the same direction she was. Valui stuck her hands in her jacket pockets, still holding the ticket tightly as if she were afraid of losing it.

The train ride was as she had expected — crowded. Valui spent most of her ride squished between multiple people, being jostled around as the train moved because she was too short to reach a handrail, until someone was kind enough to give up their seat for her. She spent the rest of the ride nearly jumping out of her seat with excitement. Her entire life had been spent watching UA from afar, wondering what it was like to be inside it. Now, even if it was just as an audience member to the real students, she was getting her chance.

She couldn't even try to hide the bright smile that was on her face.

When the train stopped, Valui shot off like a bullet. She darted around people and off the train onto the terminal, and then out of the terminal and onto the main road. The main road was where she stopped. UA was decked out like a massive party was going on; she could see it from the train as clearly as if she were already on the property. There were heroes and regular people everywhere, all heading toward the same point. Someone bumping into the girl made her snap back to reality, and uncontrollable happiness surge through her small body.

I... I get to be inside UA!

The thought propelled her feet forward in what would be a run were there not so many people around. Blue eyes locked on a single target in the distance. Nearer and nearer it grew — the grandiose building, the balloons, the lights, the heroes, the cameramen. Valui felt like her heart was going to burst; had she ever felt this happy once in fifteen years?
