After what felt like a long time of standing awestruck, Valui finally came back to her senses. With a shaky breath in an attempt to calm herself down, she took her seat. Her legs pressed together, palms on her knees, and her upper body leaning forward in a mixture of anticipation and excitement.

Present Mic was hyping everything up, while Eraserhead was the one actually announcing the classes. Department of Heroes — Class 1-A; Class 1-B. Department of General Education — Class 1-C; Class 1-D; Class 1-E.

A wide smile spread across Valui's face at the sight of a familiar shade of purple. For a brief moment, Hitoshi glanced back at her; when their eyes met, he waved lightly. She felt herself get red again, but she waved back before he went to line up along his class with all the other first years.

Department of Support — Class 1-F; Class 1-G; Class 1-H. The Business Department wasn't included, since their forte wasn't fighting. At least, that was the reasoning Eraserhead gave.

The R-Rated Hero Midnight made an entrance, which sent the whole crowd — well, the male half — into a frenzy. Valui couldn't deny feeling the same kind of excitement, though for a much less perverted reason. Midnight, who was now on a small stage that was set up in front of all the first years, pulled the microphone out of the stand on the stage. "Now, a word from our first year representative: Katsuki Bakugo."

A blond stepped out of the crowd and walked up onto the stage, both of his hands in his pockets and a small slouch in his posture. Valui's eyebrows furrowed as the crowd around her grew quiet.

"I just want to say that I'm going to beat you all."

Valui nearly choked on the breath she took. Was... Was this guy serious? Did he really think he was good enough to beat every single person he was up against? Something about the cockiness of him; the fact that he probably had a Quirk so powerful it gave him the confidence to believe he was better than what looked like a hundred other students made Valui angry.

I want Hitoshi to beat you.

The desire that implanted itself in her brain put a weird feeling in her stomach. It got stronger when she looked at that head of wild, purple hair.

Pride.

Why was she feeling that?

Valui didn't have a chance to wonder any longer. A gunshot went off, signalling the first part of the festival — an obstacle course type race. Everyone took off, with Present Mic hyping everything up to make it seem much more exciting than Valui personally thought it was.

Until the giant screen that displayed what was happening up close showed a number of large robots.

W-what?

"Isn't this kind of dangerous...?" She asked the question out loud to no one in particular; her shock was too much to contain.

"Not for students at UA," someone said beside her. She glanced sideways at him, keeping most of her attention on the screen — it was showing some students; she hoped to see Hitoshi on it. "Well. Hero and Support Course students. I don't know about the General Ed ones."

Some kind of disgusted anger ripped through her stomach.

A second voice piped up from somewhere behind her. "Yeah, they're kind of out of place, aren't they?"

Shut up...

"They also don't stand out from everyone else."

Shut up.
