Rachel was in front of the hotel. She got out of the taxi after paying the driver. She took the elevator to her floor and opened her room door. She locked the door behind her and placed the keys onto a table in her room. Her room was medium sized. Most of it was taken up by a large bed. To one side was the table and the door she came through. To the other side was a rack to place clothes in, a neat pile of suitcases, and a door which lead into a balcony. To the foot side of the bed was another door to the bathroom. There was a large mirror next to the table. She looked in the mirror. Then she noticed it. There was a sudden movement on the bed. Rachel turned around quickly. There was a large snake on the bed!
She stuck her back to the wall and slowly began walking towards the door. The snake rose up. And then it looked at her. It's beady eyes trained themselves onto her. Then it's body began curling together moving towards her. Unlike last time, Rachel was not immobolized by fear. As soon as the snake saw her she froze. Maybe it would go back to sleep if she was quiet. But it began moving faster towards her. Rachel dashed against the door. She needed the keys! But the table was close to the snake. It was coming closer. She ran to the opposite end of the bed to the other door. The snake turned around quickly and slithered towards her hissing loudly. She grabbed the handle and yanked the door open. The snake hissed loudly. She shut the door behind her.
She was in a balcony. She heard the snake hissing in the room. The cold wind felt comforting in a way. From her balcony she could see the ground of the hotel. Straight below her to the entrance of the hotel, a large sleek black car halted. A man walked out with a phone pressed to his ear. He was barking orders at the person on the other side and he was wearing a long and large trench coat which hung loosely off his shoulders and body so no one could make out how he looked under it. His face was looking down so she couldn't see it. He said something into the phone and still speaking on the phone he looked up. He was talking on the phone and Rachel caught a glimpse of something very shiny in his mouth. It was a gold tooth! Gold teeth were very expensive. The man must have money. He saw Rachel and frowned. Rachel remembered the snake in her room. She waved her hands so he could see her. He continued to stare at her. "Can you call animal centre? There is a snake in my room!" she yelled. He walked into the reception.
He seemed like a mean person. Rachel frowned. He could have atleast called animal control! He walked out in a while with Betty. "They're on the way!" Betty yelled. So the man told betty to call them! She smiled at him but he was already getting into the car and leaving. Strange....
