Rachel made it into the hotel just in time. Betty grabbed a phone and began calling the police. Rachel knew animal control was off duty but asked Betty to call anyway. She plopped down on a waiting chair as a man walked in. Rachel had tuned into Alfonso's remaining conversation with his boss and Alfonso had already placed the snakes into the man on the second floor's room. She had to make sure that man didn't come. She was so engrossed in her thoughts until she heard the elevator ding. She looked into the elevator. The trench coat man was going into his room! His room with snakes in it!!
She pressed the elevator button but it would be too late. She grabbed her phone and dashed up the stairs ignoring Betty. Her knees felt weak from climbing up the stairs. She panted but continued. She then noticed she was on the third floor! Groaning she ran back down to the second floor. The man had just opened the door when Rachel yelled "Noooooo!". Rachel tinkered with her phone.
(You must be thinking this isn't the time for checking her facebook.... : ) )
Just as the large snake came closer and closer to the man she finally found the music. Betty had downloaded the pungi music on her phone. The music played and the snake stood still. It was absolutely still. Just then, her phone shut down. She hadn't charged it! She groaned loudly. The man had been trying to escape while the snake was hypnotised but when the snake came out of its trance it followed him again. His back hit the wall. He was cornered and trapped.
Rachel felt so weak and helpless. She racked her mind for ideas. Everything happened at once.
The snake stroke, lunging forward with an open mouth.
The man ducked and dodged the snake.
Animal control came barging in with cages from the elevator.
The police came with guns and handcuffs.
The snake's nuzzle hit the wall hard and it collapsed on the floor. The animal control dealt with it. A few officers went over to the man while the rest went upstairs. They returned with Alfonso in handcuffs. The trenchcoat man seemed fine.
One hour later-
The commotion had died down. Rachel told the police the whole story. They believed her kidnapping this time. At the end they said she was brave for risking her flight and her safe escape for a man she didn't know. "It was the right thing to do." she said. They also congratulated her and appreciated her for her curiousity because without it they wouldn't have caught Alfonso. Speaking of Alfonso, he was actually part of a huge animal smuggling crime. Frederick Gretrate or his real name- jefferson Williams was the mastermind. He smuggled animals from continent to continent, country to country and only communicated with clients through mail. Since the mails were professionally written, they didn't seem suspicious at all.
Alfonso was a killer. He killed people with the help of smuggled snakes and other animals which could kill if not trained properly. He had an alliance with Jefferson Williams. Jefferson was also the 'boss' who anonymously gave Alfonso orders to kill with a lot of money in reward. Bob and Rob trained these animals. But Rob had actually helped the police in catching Alfonso.
Greg, the man in the second floor was actually Greg Trent, millionaire. Alfonso had been ordered to kill him for a lot of money.
Rachel smiled to herself. This vacation had turned into an adventure. And she was glad that it did.
A/N- Yay! The story is completed!!!
