Chapter 5 - Her Guardian Angel

James' POV

We thrusted through the city drifting around the corners. We stopped the bike at a building. I mean on either side of that building. We saw an outpost.

"We gotta cross the outpost" I heard Emma from the speakers in my bike.

"But it is heavily guarded" I said looking at the screen.

I observed the outpost. Two guards at the entrance, two in the watchtowers and two on bikes guarding the perimeter. I killed the engines.

"Kill the engines" I said.

I could clearly make out six guards at the two buildings on either side of the check post.

We were at a safe distance, of course.

"Emma listen I am gonna climb this building" I leaned my head to the left "and you wait for my signal. I'll take out the guards on the building and then you strom through the barricade of the checkpost. Whatever happens do not come back for me."

"But......."

"Do not come back for me" I said with an angry look.

"I......."

"DO NOT COME BACK FOR ME" I said raising my voice.

".................okay............" She said with a sad look.

"Okay now..... I am gonna climb this building."

I felt bad I never raised my voice at her...... Two daggers appeared in my hand and I started climbing the building with the help of the daggers. Luckily the daggers were able to carry my weight. The daggers slipped once or twice but that wasn't a problem. I climbed at one of the many roofs of the building. I could only take aim at the guards on the right building.

An electric bow appeared in my hand. I held it horizontally in my hand. Then three hydro arrows appeared​ in between the gaps of my fingers. I then shot the arrows aiming at the three guards. The three arrows hit the guards right on the chest...... Hey I'm not a good archer just..... I think I got Emma's abilities and skills..... Okay back to the story.

As the arrows hit the guards and the guards fell on the roof shaking because of the electric shock I guess. The clothes.... armoured clothes of course.....burnt. I could see their skin turning black....dark.....they were burning because of the lightning..... Ah.... sorry I gave too much of the description.

The bow then changed from Pyro to Aero and I saw two more guards approach them. I made two Pyro arrows I shot these two arrows at the two guards and they caught fire spontaneously​. They started screaming, shouting, running and rolling on he roof of the building.

I ran towards the ledge, jumped and spun around and shot an arrow on the building...... Now the guards could see me....and I'm counting on that.....the arrow I shot had a rope tied to it...... Pyro rope and the other end was tied to my abdomen....and it felt damn hot.

I hung to the building and struck hard to the building before a bullet missed me. I grabbed the rope, ran along the building and jumped and turned to the building. Now I was hanging to the building with my face to the guards..... I saw them and they were taking aim.....at me.....with a PORTABLE CANON.....

"Whoa those are some big guns."

I shot another pyro arrow at the guy who was holding​ the canon. The guy caught fire like the last two guards, and so did the canon...... Yes you're right a canon can't catch fire.... I know...... But I just lost the word 'heat'...... So the canon heated and the life ammunation went BOOM.
