A fleeting week had passed. Aomine taking residency in my grandmothers former bedroom, spending his only waking moments eating and moaning, whilst he slept away most of the day. Momoi had visited during the week and upraised an eyebrow in suspicion, inaudibly asking herself why he'd moved from the comforting silence of his own home, though not prying.

It was now a weekend afternoon, a day of well deserved rest, yet, here I sat on his dull wooden floor, with pieces of cluttered garments and almost pornographic magazines strewn around me. I unhurriedly raised a closed faced down book and caught a glimpse of who I'd come to know as Aomine's favourite gravure idol. Scoffing yet feeling an intense heartache and envy that I wasn't admired the way that she was to Aomine. "Oi, be careful with that. It's the latest edition." Aomine's eyes was clothed in a sheet of trepidation as he gazed towards my hands, playfully positioned as though I'd tear his prized possession at any given moment. I chuckle and place it neatly upon a pile I had sorted through as Aomine's relief exited his mouth with a deep sigh.

"How cruel do you seriously think I am?" I gave a small smile. "Wouldn't doubt you. It would have been embarrassing buying me another, bet you didn't think about that." His usual scowl worn on his face as wrinkles formed between his brows. I looked towards him to teasingly stick out my tongue in jest as his frown softened, bearing a smile after my silly expression, to which fell when the bell to the front door rang throughout the house.

I struggle my way up from the floor, avoiding Aomine's grotesque mess that I was in the midst of cleaning. My feet make soft thuds on the staircase as I stride down each step, reaching the welcoming matt beneath the entrance as the doorbell is rung once again. "Alright, I'm coming!" Irritation mustered within me. Opening the door to an appearing six foot braided and snide appearance. "Well, well, I did come for Aomine, but I think there's a change of plan, what's your name?" narrowed eyes roamed places in which they shouldn't, he violated me with his glare and rest a lengthy arm against the door frame, within centimetres from my face, I began feeling physically sick. "Who is it? If that's Satsuki, I'm not interested in her whining." I heard Aomine bellow from above. Aomine's interest peaked after not hearing a response, narrowing his eyes as he became within vision of the opened door, he somewhat hurried himself down the stairs, lightly pulling me back by the base of my shirt. "What are you doing here? How did you get here?" Aomine shot daggers at Haizaki, intently battling eyes with one another. "Save the questions, mutt. Where'd you get the girl from? She keeping you on a leash?" Haizaki's smirk grew, as did the sickness in my stomach. How did he know where Aomine was? How long has this creep known where I live? "You should leave." Aomine spat, the eminent anger seeping through his sturdy and tense muscles, as if awaiting something bad to happen. Haizaki outstretched a hand to me, until Aomine noticed his action and flew a burly fist in the direction of Haizaki's face. I peer up at Aomine in sheer shock, having known his capability to have a short fuse, but rarely, if ever, physically violent, yet, for good reason. Flinching at the force and clinging to the shirt of Aomine in reasonable fear. Haizaki spat on the pavement as small amounts of blood mixed with oral fluids connect with the ground. He began walking towards the gate, momentarily turning back to face Aomine's piercing eyes. "I'll be in the Winter Cup finals. Keep a close eye on your surroundings, and an even closer eye on that pretty little lady you have." Haizaki leaves with a lick of his thumb, exiting mine and Aomine's sight under the gradient effect of the darkening sky.
