"Are you okay?" Rich navy optical spheres scan my body for any signs of injury, silently, my still body and stunned features are home to a pair of wide (e/c) eyes and a rattling heart, as though it's intent was on escaping my chest. "Who was that?!" I question through an exasperated breath, like the wind had been taken from my lungs. "Haizaki Shougo. A disgusting little rat that belongs in the gutter, looks like he crawled out for the finals." Aomine seeths through fiery eyes and gritted teeth with his hands still holding me in place. He retracts them whilst still glaring at me. "Did he do anything to you?" Before I was given the chance to respond, Aomine's voice comes into earshot "I swear, if he so much as-" once more, I cut Aomine's sentence short at his imminent distress and growing anger. "I'm fine, honest, take a look." Lifting the sleeves and legs of my pants only for his eyes to avert as I reach the bottom of my shirt to reveal my unharmed stomach. "O-okay! I get it, good." Fumbling around his words, Aomine was afraid he'd want to see more if she'd have proceeded. "Do you believe me now? Besides, how did he know where you was, what if that creep decides to pay another visit, especially if I'm alone?" Aomine's eyes settle on mine once more. "I never said that I didn't believe you, but it beats me, someone we mutually know must have sent him, he's pretty vindictive though. Don't leave the house, or answer the door without me. You understand?" As if demanding, it felt nice to feel protected. "Yeah...I understand, father." Playfully nudging his arm with a smile plastered on my face.
The darkness of midnight had risen as the flawless black sky spread it's dullness throughout the small abode. The first floor was ridden with blackness as I had reached for each light switch belonging to pastel lilac painted walls. I reached the bottom step of the carpeted staircase only to glance back at the front door as today's encounter ran through my vivid mind. I take a few steps towards it and press firmly downward on the handle, checking that it was securely locked. A sweat bead drops from my forehead. "Just checking." I spoke to myself as I comfortably walk myself up the stairs. The gap beneath the bathroom door implied there was light shining from within the room, knocking on lightly. "Aomine?" I whisper. Opening the door rapidly as I almost lose my balance. "Idiot, be careful." The audacity "My thoughts exactly, dumbass" peering intently into one another's eyes with irritation, he leaves to enter his room with a "Tche." as per usual.
Brushing my pearly rows of white teeth, I had hopped beneath the covers with relaxation hitting my skin, waiting for the ecstasy of sleep to pull me in, but, sleep never came. I tossed my body clothed in an oversized shirt back and forth, constantly pushing the fabric down as it began riding up. My bedroom door was agape and to reach the bathroom, you'd need to pass my room to access it. Aomine's tall tanned physique slothfully ambled by my bedroom door as he spared my room a glance, only to find me wide awake. "You're never normally up at this time?" His tone of voice somewhat enquires. "I didn't know you stalked me when I was asleep, weirdo." I retort through a grin. "I don't stalk you, dweeb." Embarrassment clothed his voice. "One second." He entered the bathroom, exiting moments later and walking through the darkness to sit at the bottom of my bed, but not before stubbing his toe on the border of the door, he withdrew a guttural grunt as he hopped over, I stifled a giggle. "Don't you dare." He menacingly glared down. "Why you awake anyway?" Asking through boredom and tiredness. "I don't know. I can't sleep...I guess I'm afraid of that Haizaki guy knocking my door off it's hinges." My mien emotionless, Aomine huffs in the silence of the room. He pulls my covers from me as I gasp as the crispness of the air hits my (s/c) skin. "Come on." Confused and curious, I followed him along the hall, scuttling closely behind, almost too closely. "Don't get used to this, you can stay here for the night. Providing you don't annoy me." Pouncing onto the bed as it sunk with his weight. He supports his head in his hands as he lays on his back, offering the spare, lonely side of his bed to me. "You mean...we're sleeping together?" Smirking towards me "I mean-" Elongating the beginning of his sentence I shake my hands in front of me. "Pervert. I didn't mean it like that." Strolling over to join his large scaled body on the comfort of his mattress. I begin to pull the covers over us both, attempting to sleep, and this time, my brain switches it's on button to off.
4:00am and now awake and battling for the covers. "Aomine, you're stealing the sheets!" Tugging with all my measly might. "I don't care, get your own, this is mine." He mumbled, effortlessly pulling the thick sheet of black over his muscular body. "You offered to let me sleep here, so I should get a share of the covers, stupid!" He grunts. "My room, my rules, loser." He groans. "This is so unfair." I argue through my defeat. "You're so annoying." He sighs as he rolls over, pushing himself closer as tan meets with (s/c), slinging manly arms around me and pulling the small, yet thick covering over the two of us. "Will you shut up now and let me sleep?" Asking, although hoping I'd just be quiet. And that's exactly what I did. The redness of my beetroot cheeks engulfed me in a shell of silence, and once again, we both slept away the eventful day, a stupid smile clothing my lips.
