Brennan's POV:
"Were you at Andrea's party earlier?" She asks, a disappointed look slapped on her face.
"No." I try and lie.
"Don't lie to me Brennan." She threatens.
"Yes." I sigh.
"We're you drinking?" She continues.
"No."
"That's not what your breath is saying." She glares.
"Vodka, huh?" She sits back in her chair and folds her arms.
"Look, you can't- wait, what's all over your face?" She asks.
Damn it. Annie's lipstick.
"It's nothing. Juice."
I know she's not going to believe me. She shakes her head and I hold my head in my hands.
"What's her name." She demands.
"I can't tell you." I say. If she finds out its Annie, she'll tell Annie's parents.
"Why not?"
"I just can't." I say, looking at my hands on the empty table.
"How often do you do this, Brennan? How long have you been lying to me?"
"This was the first time." I try and lie once more. I know I should have told the truth, but it's too late now.
"Well, Brandon told me at the party that you come every weekend. Sometimes weekdays." She shouts slightly.
"I'm disappointed Brennan. I thought you were better than this. I really did. Go wash that makeup off your face. And you will tell me who the girl is tomorrow." She growls. I walk off into my room. Annie has wipes in her purse that will work much better than soap and water. I wash her lipstick off too, so it doesn't get everywhere.
"Im sorry." She says. She scared me. I thought she was asleep.
"Tyler really hurt me. The fans hate me... My family hates me...now I just keep drinking... I can't stop. I'm a wreck." She says, on the verge of tears.
"It's okay. It's not your fault." I say, holding her in my arms.
"But... With you I feel something. I don't just feel numb anymore." She sniffles. I hear footsteps walk away. I pray inside that it was just Katie.
"Me too." I whisper to Annie.
"Really?" She asks.
"Really."

*THE NEXT MORNING*
Annie's POV:
I wake up with yet another killer headache. I look at my surroundings.
Crap.
I'm in Brennan and Ryan's room, Ryan's side specifically. I notice Brennan sat up against the wall, his arms wrapped around me.
"You probably don't remember last night, do you?" He whispers.
I shake my head.
"You were really drunk. You decided to play truth or dare again." He asks, trailing off. I notice red stains around his mouth.
Oh. My. God.
"We kind of got dared to make out. Twice." He says. I instantly sit up.
"Nothing...else happened, right?" I ask.
"No. Nothing like that. Katie showed up and said my mom was onto me. She knows I party and she knows I made out with a girl last night. She wants me to tell her who it was today." He finishes. My breathing is heavy. His mom will tell my parents, and I'll be dead.
"It's okay. I'm not telling her. I'll have to figure something out." He says, scratching his chin.
Bits and pieces from last night flood into my head. Kissing. Drinking. Laughing. Crying.
"How..how do you feel about last night?" I ask. Brennan just blushes.
"Brennan... Family meeting. Katie says through a crack in the door. He gets up and leaves me. I collect all my stuff and wait for him to come back.

Brennan's POV:
I go to our kitchen table. Sitting at it are mom, dad, Katie, and now me. I take a deep breath to prepare myself for the consequences.
"We know you took Katie to the party the other night. That's why she was so tired the next day." Dad grumbles.
"Brennan, I'm going to ask you once. Who was the girl?"
Thoughts rush through my head. I can't give her up like that. She'll be in more trouble than I am.
"I can't tell you. Please understand, guys."
Dad slams his fists on the table.
"Damn it, Brennan, who was the girl?" He demands.
Mom unlocks her phone and goes onto Instagram. She shows me a photo and my heart drops.
Chris took a picture. It had to be him.
He leaked a picture of us leaving the bedroom together, lipstick all over our faces. Damn that stupid lipstick.
My parents know I made out with Annie. A family friend. My little sisters best friend.
"These pictures are all over the Internet. Not only are you ruining ours, but the Leblanc's reputation too. There is clearly alcohol in the picture. We've never been more disappointed, Brennan. And Katie. You never told us?" Mom says, on the verge of tears. We just lost all of their trust.
"What did you and Annie do." Dad asks.
"We only kissed. I swear, I'm not lying this time." I say, holding my hands up in defense. Katie nods to confirm it.
"You better not be. Because we WILL find out if you are." Mom replies.
"Both of you. No friends until summer. No hanging out, no sleep overs. Also, the Leblanc's are on their way. Annie's in this house somewhere." Dad says. The color flushes from my face.
"Please, you don't understand how much trouble she will be in." I plead.
"You guys shouldn't have done it, then."
I stomp away and into my room.
"Annie. They know everything. Your parents are on their way." I say, helping her off the ground.
"No. No no no no. No!!" She mutters, breathing heavily.
"I'm sorry. I should have stopped you." I say, hanging my head.
"Brennan... I shouldn't have done it. Hell, I shouldn't have even been there. I've been lying for a whole month. It's not your fault." She says, hugging me.
Katie walks in.
"It was me who heard you guys last night. You're lucky." Katie says.
"What?" Annie asks. Confused.
"Oh, you were talking to Brennan." She says. I blush.
"What about?" Annie continues.
"Katie. Can you go for a sec?" I sigh.
"Sorry."
Katie closes the door.
"You told me about your problems. The drinking...your family...Tyler." I say.
She stares into my eyes blankly.
"You said you felt something with me. That... You didn't feel numb anymore." I finish. She tears up.
"I'm sorry. This is all my fault. Again." She says, falling into a ball on the ground. My doors opens, and I assume it's Katie. But it's not.
"Annie, sweetie, please come out." Mom says from outside. I help Annie up and take her to the table. Annie's parents are here.

Oooooh dang.
