It was 6:30 a.m., here we are sitting in the airport, J.F.K. international airport waiting for our flight to Orlando.

"Ready for the big move Skylynn?" Dad asked.

I stared into his green eyes as he searched mine for an answer. "I am a bit nervous," I stated. "What if the kids don't like me?"

"Sky, a sixteen-year-old girl like you shouldn't care what other people think of you. If you turn back now, your mother would be disappointed."

Dad had a point. Mom would be expecting us to arrive at Orlando international. I could imagine her heart broken facial expression, knowing that I stayed in New York, besides, who could I possibly live with while my parents are in the south?

"I guess so," I said, staring at the air-trains passing by, moving back and forth, transporting passengers to different stations.

Look on the bright side, I wouldn't be alone in my new school. I would have my brother, although this school year would be his senior year  and I'll be a junior, I won't be alone.School starts in a week so I have enough time to prepare myself.

"Sky, you look nervous," My dad chuckled as he watched me with amusement.

"I'm not nervous?" I lied, clearly I am.

"You're turning into a tomato," Dad laughed again.

Rolling my eyes, I glanced around the waiting area spotting a boy who was staring at me but he quickly looked away as  I caught him. I let out a soft giggle at his sudden reaction. Airport staff called from the intercom telling all passengers the plane is ready for boarding. Dad and I grabbed our belongings and headed toward the gate. Minutes later we were already seated in our assigned seats. For some reason My dad had to sit on the left side of the plane while my seat was on the right. We tried telling a flight attendant that we were assigned two different seats but she said she'll try to figure something out but never got back to us. Not to mention, it was my first time flying. Usually we'll drive to another state, even if it took 2 days or more to get there so the lack of comfort from my dad wasn't helping.

I tried leaning forward to get a quick glance at my dad hoping to get his attention but a tall figure came into view. A scent of cologne filled the atmosphere as I looked up to see a tall sandy haired boy. He had on a light blue button-down shirt with a cardigan over it and a pair of jeans. He was putting luggage in the overhead luggage compartment.  It was the boy from the waiting area. As he was getting ready to take his seat, he made eye contact with me and I Instantly looked away.

Thirty minutes later, our plane was ready for take off and all the worst thoughts came into mind at the wrong time. Our plane began accelerating down the runway as the engine roars became louder. I took fast heavy breaths as the plane's speed increased. I tried to make it unnoticeable but somebody took notice.

"You okay?" The boy next to me asked.

"Yeah," I nervously answered staring out the window. Probably not the best idea. The whole entire plane began tilting at an angle as it began taking off.

"It's your first time flying isn't it?"

"Yeah," I stared into his green orbs. "How did you know?"

"You made it pretty obvious. What are you scared of?"

"Heights," I answered.

"Heights? You're not scared of heights, you're scared of gravity," He laughed. It was contagious because I began laughing too. "What's the worst that could happen? The plane begins falling apart at-"
