Dream-filled Seed

In the pure white sand I lay,

in between a boundless darkening forest and an infinite violent sea.

Knowing the outcome of both journeys, one of which I am to seek:

In the forest I am to be lost in the savage depth,

If by sea then I am to be stranded in the striking waves unkempt.

Thoughts roam by; each planting a dream-filled seed in my conscious stricken mind.

Hoping that a miracle will keep me from the decision to be made,

which will forever imprint the footsteps of my odyssey.

Around I sense the sun setting towards its sleeping fallow,

And I lay awake looking at the starry heavens above .

Weighing out the outcomes foretold I chose my road.

Losing and gaining along the way.

Looking up every night at the pure lights that stayed,

A constant in my changing life,

As if the whole time the decision I had made between the first two roads I was to take.

Were only the beginning of departing roads ahead that needed decisions made.

I just looked beyond and thought of the goal-driven vines that were now,

Intertwining in my conscious stricken mind

Fore they were the dream-filled seeds that had been planted in order for me to seek.

Seek the dreams that had evolved into goals for myself to achieve.
