We were all sitting around in the small diner we'd claimed as ours after our classes this week. Jess was practically in Sams lap trying to convince him to do halloween this year, which was causing somewhat of a scene.
I sat there, trying to turn my attention else where but the only thing to be heard over the soft music in the background was the debate between the two new love birds.
"Aw but Saaam." She whined dragging out his name.
"Yeah come on, Sammy." I teased mimicking Jessicas' tone, receiving a glare from both.
"I'll think about it." He huffed.
October 31st, 2003
It's Halloween night on Standford campus, the night where it's socially acceptable to dress in short skirts and practically no top and call your self a cat.
But tonight I dine alone, in the small apartment watching over the back and forth text argument on why we should all have to dress and enjoy a night of intoxication and a night of memories no one will remember.
Flicking through the free to air TV channels for somethingto watch I finally settled on something about stories in the ER. A soft sigh had caught my attention on the opposite side of the lounge chair.
"Sam?" I quizzed softly, my brow arched up slightly.
"Hm." He grunted back, his eyes not leaving the small screen in front of him.
"Whats up?" I asked, shifting in my seat.
His eyes slowly made their way from the screen to me and back to the screen.
"I better get ready." He said pushing himself off the lounge chair, slipping his phone away.
I watched as he headed to his end of the apartment before whispering more to myself. "You don't have too go." Before turning back to the TV.
A couple hours later footsteps left his bedroom and followed down the hall. I swung my arm over the back of the lounge, as he made his way to the door.

"I'm here if you need me." I said as he swung the door open.
"I know Kat." He said before closing the door behind him.
