May 26th, 2006.

Cocooned in the cheap thread blankets, of the dingy motel and staring at the equally cheap wallpaper, I laid in wait for Dean to leave on his suicide mission to save his brother alone.
After the sound of the lock clicking into place I slipped out of the blankets and pulled out myself out of the bed with ease and pulled my boots on ready to follow Deans footsteps.

Obviously, smarter ones.

Heading to the door I gathered up a couple things including a small duffle bag that was left behind, before peeping through the sheer curtain to make sure everything was clear.

No Impala, no Dean.

Swinging the duffel bag over my shoulder I headed through the parking to the rental car I turned up in. No one would expect it.

Throwing the bag to the backseat from the front of the car, before turning the key in the ignition before she came to life. I sent out a quick pray that would everything would go fine and that we'd all walk out of this alive. With that I pulled my belt on and made my to tracking Dean.

I followed him and what appeared to be the towns deputy to a dirt road which felt like it went on for miles, until they turned off disappearing out of my line of site.

Deciding to pull back and off to the side of the road so I wasn't detected I pulled the duffle bag back into the passenger seat of the car, before exiting the vehicle. Standing between the door and the seat I checked the main road again before hiding a small gun in the pocket of my jacket. With that I made my way closer to where Dean and the Deputy were, creeping my way behind the shrubbery.

I watch as I found Dean struggling against his restraints as he reached for the antenna of the car. A soft smirk crossed my face as he lifted his foot in hope that it would help him with his escape from the handcuffs.

It wasn't long till he had himself free of the handcuffs, and marching his way down the driveway without looking back

I let a couple feet get between us before I followed behind in the dense brush. Once Dean had the front porch in site, he reached under his jacket, before pointing the barrel of his gun towards the ground as he headed closer to the rackety old house and up to the windows. Watching for a quick minute I headed further into the property before Dean caught my attention again, in front of an barn, checking over his shoulder.

After witnessing Deans disappearance through the back door of the main ratchet house, I made my way in to the barn, my hand in the pocket of my jacket. Just in case.

When I turned, I came face to face with the deputy and a concerned Sam.

"Sam?.." I whispered as I rounded the door, gun pointed down and ready to go as my eyes landed on the pair in the metal cages.

"Kat?" He quizzed moving from his spot before worry spread through his voice

"Kat?" He quizzed moving from his spot before worry spread through his voice. "What are you doing here?"

"Saving your ass, of course." I winked, seeing the corner of his mouth twitch to a smile. "But in all seriousness, we need to get you both out of here before it's too late."

As I went to turn to try and find a way to get the pair out of their confinements Sam pulled me up again, with another warning. "They're human." He said fear and concern evident in his eyes.

"Does Dean know?" My eyes wide momentarily, before he nodded.

"They could be back at any moment, Kat." He said, as he locked away and up the plastic covered wires coming down from the roof of the barn. You could see the cogs turning inside his brain as he stared at the wires. "Kat climb up and help me pull these down." He ordered.

"Then what Samuel?" I snapped, this wasn't going to free him.

"We'll think of that when we get to it." He looked at me, pleading with his eyes. I sighed softly before hoisting myself onto the top of the cage, causing the whole cage to rattle.

It wasn't long till the barn doors were pushes open and we were stopped in our tracks. The tall figure stood in the door way, shot gun and keys in hand. I eyed the boy, as he eyed me back as if we were watching each others every step.

Slowly, I slipped my shaky hand into the inside of my bulky jacket, pulling the hand gun out and just into site as the trigger was pulled on the other gun. A yelp of pain left me, as a heat sensation spread through my thigh, causing all focus to disappear at the site of the blood spreading through the leg of my jeans.

"Son of a bitch!" I heard the older brother yell from the other side of the rental, as I rested between Sam and the car.

"Sorry, Dean."
