Megan's pov*

Flashback

School just ended and me and my friend Kate walked out of the building, I see Carl walking up to his mom and she started talking and he started to cry, "Megan look Carl is crying we should make fun of him tomorrow" Kate laughed " ugh shut up Kate it could be serious plus how would you like it if I made fun of you for crying" I grumbled walking toward Carl as his mom walked away "hey carl are you ok" I asked " n-no my dad got shot and is in the hospital" he said " oh um sorry" I hugged him and in the corner of my eye I saw Kate taking pictures and laughing.

" well bye carl I gotta go my cousin is gonna be here soon" i told him " ok bye Megan and I'm sorry if i embarrassed you" he sighed " what do you mean" i asked confused " well i know your friends don't really like me and think I'm a loser, so you being with me well its" he started until i flicked him in the forehead" shut up carl i don't mind being with you because your my friend to" i said hugging him again but this time cut short when a motorcycle engine roared " well bye for real carl my cousin is here" I said walking away.

Present

I am currently crouched behind a tree, a walker currently coming this direction so I pick um my sister in my arms, her once white dress is now all wrinkled with blood stains " ok Lilly come on we gotta go" I said picking up the rest of our stuff, as I start walking I hear people yelling "Sofia", ' don't these people know not to scream and yell it attracts them' I say getting lost I thought and don't notice the walker behind me until I hear a growl, and I scream

I try to get the walker off of me with one hand trying not to drop Lilly until I fall back and hit my head. I struggle to get the walker off of me as Lilly starts crying, just then the walker on me goes limp and gets thrown off me and I scramble to get Lilly and check if she is ok. " Lilly your ok your safe I promise" I say into her hair " I told you rick it wasn't her" a male voice said making snap my head toward the voice to see 2 men and a kid ' wait is that carl' " um hello I'm Rick and this is my partner Shane and my son-" he says when I cut him off "Carl" I ask " is that you" I ask again " oh Megan hi its been a while" he said helping me up " um Carl" Rick asked "ya dad" Carl answers

"who is this and how do you know her" he questioned " oh my friend Megan from school" he said

"hi um where you the people screaming" I asked them "ya we where looking for someone, you wouldn't happen to see her would you her name is sofia" the Shane guy said stepping too close to comfort ' I'm not sure if I like him too much' " first off back up and no I haven't" I told him "he Megan you should join our group, you and Lilly would be safer" Carl said "hmmm I donno, Rick, shane are you ok with that" I asked "sure" Rick and Shane said and we continued on walking " megawn lwook" Lilly said pointing to a deer " wow dad isn't that cool" Carl said walking up to touch it, he got so close until a gunshot went off and Carl fell to the ground.
