" Don't forget to buy milk for your mom on your way home. " " Yes dad. I'll go now. " " Be careful Sungjae. "

" Milk, checked. Should I get some ramyeon ? " He grab it anyway since he felt quite hungry too. " That's all, thank you. " The cashier put everything in the plastic bag and he walked off after made the payment.

He was walking his way towards the bus stop but was shocked when he heard a girl screaming. He stops for a while trying to listen closely to the voice again. " Somebody help me !! " " God ! Where does the voice come from ? " He looks around trying to find the girl and he saw an alley nearby where he stood.

He walked towards it and took a peek. There he saw two guys were harassing a girl. One is blocking her while the other one is holding her from the back. "What should I do ?" He was panic at a moment since he don't know how to fight but then a long stick caught his eyes. He grab it and nervously walking towards them. * Help me in this God ! *

" Let her go! " All of them were surprised to hear that and cause them to looked towards him. He don't know where he got the courage but all he knows that the girl need his help. " I said let her go. " " Man, if you don't want any trouble, just go. " They are now focusing on him. " You are harassing a girl and I can't let it slide. And .. I .. I got a stick here .. which I can beat you with it .. " He knew that he was shaking all the time but he hardly care. All that he want is to save the poor girl. " You asked for it. Let's get him. "

As expected he is being hit so hard that he fell on the floor. He did try to hit them with the stick but they are just too strong well he is not a fighter to begin with. He heard the girl shouting asking them to stop beating him but it's no use. But after a while he felt that he's been let go. He look up and surprisingly he saw the girl holding the stick that he held just now and also those two guys were lying on the floor.

When she look back to him, both of them are surprised when seeing each other's face. " Sungjae !" " Joy-sshi ? " Joy was about to walk towards him but was held by on of the guy. " You messed with a wrong people you bitch. " Sungjae saw the opportunity and immediately pushed the guy with his body causing both Joy and the guy to fell. He used his weight to trap the guy from standing up, " Go! Joy-sshi go ! Now ! " " But .. " " Go ! " Upon hearing him shouting, she hurriedly run away from the scene.

Joy was panting. She looked around trying to find some help. She won't leave him there and she will help him. Too bad that her phone was left there or else it would be easier to call for help. Just when she thought she was helpless, she saw two cops on their way towards the convenience shop. She ran towards them, " Ahjusshi .. ahjusshi !! "

Joy were seating next to Sungjae while witnessing the cops arresting those thugs. " You should follow us to the police station after being treated. " Joy nodded when she saw a group of paramedics approaching them two. " I'm fine. He's the one who got beat a lot." She said as the woman trying to help her.  She look at Sungjae with a weak heart as the woman treating him. " Yah, look what happen to you know Sungjae. " He couldn't say a word since he is in pain. " We'll bring him to the hospital. " Joy nodded and follow them towards the ambulance.

After 30 minutes passed, Sungjae be able to open up his eyes. Maybe he is too tired from all the fight that's why he fell asleep while the doctor treating him. " You're awake. " The first person that he saw is Joy, seating next to the bed looking at him worriedly. " How do you feel ? " " In pain. " " The doctor said that you can go home after this. " He just nodded while trying to get himself up with Joy's help.

So Joy was telling Sungjae on how she was involved with those thugs but what came out from her mouth next really make him flustered, " You looks so cool trying to save me just now. I feel like I'm watching a movie seeing you there. " Joy said excitedly while holding on Sungjae's hand. " J-Joy .. Joy-sshi, you were holding my hand long enough. " " Wae ? Don't you like me ? " " Joy-sshi ! How can you asked that ? " " Wae ? I think I like you. You are my hero you know. " Sungjae thought that Joy is out of her mind from the shocked that she had when she encountered those thugs but she's not. " I think you are still in shock thats why you keep saying things. "

" I'm so sorry. I'm at fault Mrs Yook. " Joy look at Sungjae's mom feeling guilty for causing trouble to his son. " No no dear. It's not your fault. You're facing the worst if Sungjae didn't help. " " But still .. " " Don't worry. We are not blaming you my dear. " His father assured her since he knew that the girl was about to cry. " Joy-shi, may I know, are you Sungjae's friend ? " His sister asked with a smile on her face. " Yes I am. " Sungjae was having another shocked when Joy said that. As in fact, they are never close to a friend. Maybe a classmate but not a friend even though they're a classmate for almost 3 years now.

Sungjae saw that his parents were busy settle up his discharge procedure at the counter so he took the chance to have a talk with Joy, even though he is quite nervous right now. " Joy-shi .. we are not friend with each other. Why did you lied ? " Sungjae decided to ask Joy about what she said earlier but what he got is a glare from her.  " We are .. tonight onwards we are friends. Got that ? " " But .. " " Are you afraid to be friend with me ? Why ? Is it because I act like a bitch in school ? " " It's not that ... " " Then I assume you accept my offer. Don't say no cause this is the first time I ask a guy to be my friend. You should feel lucky Sungjae. " Joy was persistent so Sungjae cannot say no even though he felt weird being a friend with her since she's way too different with his personality.

"And also from now on, you'll be my precious property. " " I am what ? " " You will be my favourite person. So if anyone touch you. I'll kill him or her. " Sungjae looks terrified and it only cause Joy to laughed loudly which really makes Sungjae to feel creep out. " I'm just joking you silly. "

Sungjae was about to head himself in the car but stops when his name being called by Joy. " Sungjae-ah .. " He turned, facing her, " Hmm ? " Abruptly, he is being pulled into a bear hug by Joy which cause both of his parents and also his sister who are already in the car to jaw dropped at the scene. As for Sungjae, he felt like about to pass out with the sudden skinship since it was his first time being so intimate with a girl well except for his sister of course.

" Jj .. Joy-sshi .. Joy .. huh ? " He was about to ask her to let go but flustered when he heard her sobs. " Are you alright Joy-sshi ? " " I am .. I'm just .. " She pulled away, looking at Sungjae with a teary eyes that cause Sungjae's heart to feel broken. " I'm just so glad seeing you back there. You don't know how scared I am just now and when you came .. I .. Just, thank you Sungjae. " He doesn't know how to react and just patted her hair with his trembled hand. " It's all right now Joy-sshi. You don't have to be scared. I'm glad too that you are safe. "

Joy felt warm when she heard his voice that felt so sooth in her ears. She just let him patted her hair before embrace him once again which nearly cause Sungjae to get a heart attack. " Thanks Sungjae-ah. My precious one. "
