Whenever I travel I see the windmills
And the oil pumps
And the farms
I see gas stations
And rest stops
And fast food restaurants
I see the clouds
The stars
And sunsets
I see people that scare me
Mostly older
And some young
I see the long open road
Neighboring towns
And miles of nothing
I see rolling hills
And plains
And waters
I see doctor pepper
Chips
And candy
I see my phone
My book
And journal
My car traps me in for hours
Trapping me in my mind as well
