He whispered into my ear
"There's nothing to fear.
Just spread your wings
Once I'm near."

He was just a figment
Of my imagination
A voice in my head
A hallucination

But his voice
Sounded so real-

So whenever he's nearby,
I spread my wings and start to fly.
And whenever you ask if I'm okay,
Instead of the truth, I tell a lie.
