We walked for almost an hour talking about different things. He talked about his siblings, I talked about mine. We talked about our favorite songs, movies, and places to go. We even found out that we both want three kids when we grow-up. We talked about anything we could come up with, anything to forget the real question. We're both here for a reason. Both of us were mentally forced to walk out of our hotel room at 2:00 in the morning and go for a walk. But we didn't talk about why. I guess both of us wanted to know each other's reason, but refused to share our own. So neither of us brought it up.

We eventually stopped walking and sat down against the fence that bordered around the whole area for the hotel. I was still laughing about something Nash said earlier as we sat down. It felt good to laugh. It felt like unlocking a part of me that I previously lost the key for. I didn't know that Nash Grier, the dude with the really blue eyes and a cute sister on vine, was holding the key the whole time.

"So you're a sophomore," he brought back up. "What do you wanna do after highschool?"

"I honestly have no idea! And not knowing what I want scares me." I replied.

"Do you think you'd wanna go to college?"

"It depends on what I end up wanting as a career, I guess. Right now, I just don't know."

"C'mon you have a dream, right? Something YOU want. Something you see yourself doing? You only h--"

"I just want to be free, Nash," I interrupted.

     "Yea me too."

"What do you mean?" I asked turning the focus towards him, "Free from who?"

"I don't know. Never mind. Can we just not talk about it?"

"Why don't you wanna talk about it?" I pushed to keep the focus on him instead of me, "I think we should talk about it."

     "I don't think so."

     "Come on Nash."

     "No. Please stop."

     "Why?"

     "I don't want to."

     "Well, you brought it up."

"WHAT THE FUCK? I SAID NEVER MIND!" He exclaimed louder than anything else he said all night, even louder than both of our laughs put together. I didn't say anything after that. I looked at my phone to see the time. It's already 5:34 am. He was looking away from me. I didn't know where to look, or if I should even still be here. Since he wasn't saying anything and I couldn't think of what to say, I figured he wanted to be left alone and got up to leave.

"Stay," he demanded, still facing away, "Please," he added.

I sat back down beside him. He finally looked at me. The moonlight shined on the on the water he forced to keep in his eyes. For the first time I got the opportunity to stare directly into his eyes as he stared back at me. The blue in his eyes calmed me. It calmed me more than the swimming pool ever could have.

"I'm sorry. Sometimes I just... I don't know, I just-" he failed to compose a sentence out of what he felt.

"It's okay, we don't have to talk about it. We really don't," I reassured him.

"I guess we'd both rather have each other just assume, huh?" His medium-pink lips framed perfectly around his teeth, as he finally smiled. Light dimples feel on his cheek.

"I like your smile." Words just decided to fall out of my mouth without permission.

     "Thanks," he smiled once again.
