I woke up in the middle of the night. I felt like someone was stalking me, so I stayed up. I didn't have work the next day fortunately, so I didn't mind.
I sighed and walked down the hall to the living room where the little TV was. I turned it on, and static filled the air. It was loud, too. I crossed my fingers, hoping that I hadn't woken Lexi, but she started to cry. I sighed and walked down the hallway to he room.
"Hey, Lexie? Why are you crying, baby?" I cooed, picking her up and rocking her a little.
"I h-had a b-bad dream, M-Mommy...." She sobbed. I frowned.
"What happened in the dream?"
"Well...I w-was walking through da w-woods with yo-you, and y-you got t-took..." She cried, wrapping her little arms around me. Her grammar wasn't too great, but she's four for Christ's sakes! "Th-Then...my fr-friend, Sl-Slendy, was a-around and that no-noise filled th-the air..."
"What noise?" I questioned.
"Th-The one i-in the living room..." She mumbled. Lexi was already falling asleep, so I laid her back in her bed.
"It was just a bad dream, baby. Don't worry, that will never happen." I murmured, stroking her hair. She smiled a little and closed her eyes, falling asleep.
I sighed and walked down the hallway once more.
The TV was working perfectly fine!
I shook my head and looked out the window, to see a tall, thin, man staring up at me. Or at least I think! He didn't have a fucking face. Then, I realized, who he was. Fear took over my body, but before I could freak out, I shook my head. It was all in my head, hopefully. I walked back to my room, now really tired. I plopped on my bed and fell asleep.
