Okay, I hope you guys enjoy. I need a lil romance, so Imma just. Yanno. ENJOY, MY SWEET, SWEET BANANAS~!

Toby and I laid on my bed, staring at the ceiling. Being next to him made me feel hole; it was like I had nothing more to worry about, ever again. He made my heart pick up its pace, and the little butterflies in my tummy start to have a party. A light blush laid on my freckled cheeks, and a smile made its home on my face.
"Hey, Twitchy?"
I didn't turn my head, I just replied with a, "Yeah?"
I could feel him shift, so that he was on his side. I knew he was looking at me.
"Can I say something? I don't want to weird you out.."
"Go ahead,"
"Okay, well here goes," He grabbed my hand."Brooke, when I am around you... Something goes wrong. Terribly wrong. Every one of my organs decides to act out of place, and it's as if I decided to eat a few butterflies before I see you.. I don't know what I am feeling, but... but my brain tells me that I shouldn't let this feeling go away. I don't believe in love. Hell, I don't have time for it. But.. I don't know what this feeling is. I really care about you, and... I feel the need to care for you. It's corny, I get it. But everything I have just said, is genuine..." He twitched and squeezed my hand."Brooke, I don't ever want you to go away. So... promise me you'll be my partner forever?"
I nodded, tears brimming my eyes.
"I promise."

The police made their way into my home, investigating every inch of my home.
"Is it okay if I pick my daughter up? It's time for her to get out of school."
"Yes, that's fine." Deputy Suoh said. I nodded, sniffling, then grabbed my coat and keys. The pizza I was making ended up getting burned, but thankfully it didn't start a fire or anything.
"I'll be back," I said to one of the detectives, then walked out to my four door truck. I hopped inside, then wiped my eyes. I was trying to compose myself, to be strong, so that my daughter wouldn't see me fall apart. I quickly started the truck and pressed the gas pedal, speeding out of my drive way.

As I drove down the road, I could see all of the children getting off of their busses and playing in the autumn weather. What a beautiful day it was outside. How ironic.
I looked at the trees, their leaves changing from green to warm colors like red , orange, and yellow. I also noticed how the trees started to undress, their leaves falling to the ground slowly, one by one, the confident trees not afraid to show their brown bark.
I sighed and ran a hand through my messy hair as I pulled into the pickup section of the parking lot at Bartholomew Elementary School. There were still children standing on the sidewalk, making me feel a little better. I didn't want Lexi to be the only one standing there.
I pulled up to where her and her little friend were playing. I rolled down the passenger window.
"Jeff! Where's Masky so I can bother him?!" Her friend yelled, running around. It was a little boy. He actually looked a lot like Jeff before the 'incident'. I didn't want to think about Jeff at the moment, I still had a burning hatred for the pig.
"Screw off, Toby! I'm trying to find my boyfriend, Ben!" Lexi replied, I'm guessing she was Jeff.
"Lexi!" I shouted as I beeped the horn."Time to go home, honey."
"Okay! Bye, Liu!" She waved to the miniature Jeff.
"Bye, Lexi!" The kid waved back. 'Liu' then walked all the way to the back of the school and disappeared.
I frowned."Does he have a home?"
"Of course he does. He's just taking a shortcut, Mom." Lexi explained. I nodded slowly.
"Well okay, let's go home."

I pulled out of the pickup section and got into the correct lane on the road.
"Lexi, there's something I need to tell you."
"Yeah?"
"Well... Y-You know Kyle?" I said, holding back my sobs.
"Yeah, I do... Mom, what's wrong?" Lexi leaned forward, looking at me with a concerned yet scared look on her face.
"Well... He was killed." I sniffled.
"WHAT?!" She exclaimed. I nodded slowly.

I could hear her crying."Who killed Daddy?!"
This made me sob louder."We don't know yet b-baby.."
Lexi sobbed and covered her face with her hands. Her shoulders went up and down as she sobbed, her body trembling and her waist long hair covering her face and hands.
"It's n-not fair...!" She whined, sniffling.
"I know baby." I sniffled."But look at me."
It was a really quick trip back to the house. I put the truck in park and pulled my key out of the ignition.

"Look at me, sweetie."
Lexi looked at me, her blue eyes looking a little dull for the first time in a while.
"We gotta be strong girls. Right? Mommy's gonna find out who did this. I'm gonna beat their ass when I do, okay? Kyle wouldn't want us to cry. He'd want us to move forward, to make the best of life for you, me, and this baby. He isn't fully gone. He'll always be here," I pointed to her heart."Okay? We gotta be.. strong."
I brought her into an embrace. She buried her head in my chest and sniffled.

"We'll get through this."
